If you have any kind of home insurance (owner or renter) there is likely a clause to cover spoiled food in the event of a power outage or disaster. It's generally between $200 and $500 and often no questions asked about the food itself. But you do have to call them and request it.

Apply for disaster assistance! There's a good chance that your food will be covered alongside any repairs! If not, you could still potentially get some funds for other needs!

You can also apply over the phone but there's a big ass wait rn (literally at work answering calls as I write this)
