Normally I wouldn't want to risk taking a look at a Bad Egg. Those things are usually very hostile, and can cause surges that spread corruption. Very volatile.

However I do recall the image you showed me looking very different from the Bad Eggs we are studying here at the lab. We do have a code we are working with to neutralize them, but I am curious about the properties of the ones you are describing.

Perhaps you could tell me more?

And actually it's funny you should mention that. We have a working theory here at the lab that many pokemon that are currently Bad Eggs used to BE other pokemon. That some kind of temporal, or physical anomaly may have decoupled them so completely from their original form that it reverted them to looking like... well... an egg. Unfortunately Bad Eggs also do multiply and there are many that simply are born wild, so it's hard to tell if a Bad Egg you are looking at was once a different pokemon or not.

You seem to have been keeping it as a Pokemon from the way you're talking about it, which makes me wonder if this particular Bad Egg might have different properties than the ones we are used to. Doing that with the type of Bad Egg we normally deal with here in Hoenn, OR in Glitch City, would likely hit you with a surge, seeing you as prey it could use to derive energy for reproduction.

This one... well it clearly hasn't surged on you. If you are currently typing to me that cannot be the case. You would be in the hospital and your body would feel like it is full of cotton if that were the case. Or you'd just be teeming with corruption.

Alternative branches of our world do exist though... so this is very likely an alternative manifestation OF the bad egg. And it looks like, luckily for you, it is a non-lethal one.

I'm even more curious now. Are there manifestations of other glitch pokemon in your world that act differently from ours as well? The first thing that comes to mind are Decamarks. Which.. er... I keep noticing in your profile picture.

Er... as for the Decamarks, it's probably better off for you that you do not meet one then. I had a run in with one that ended up being... well rather traumatic honestly.

They are small, vaguely question mark shaped creatures that seem to exist outside of normal the normal temporal flow. They don't have any known battle statistics since we have never seen one engaged in actual battle, but we do know that they are very fragile and can easily be injured or destroyed just from a touch.

The way they interact with this world is... complicated. They only appear (for us at least) when you are in an extremely altered mental state known as Glitzer Popping. When you encounter one Arbitrary actions can impact the world around you. Some of it causes items to appear or disappear. Others can send you to places that exist outside of time and space.

Most encounters I've had with them were harmless. One in particular was almost deadly, and I am still recovering from the mental toll of... all that.
