Hi! This is Simon, former Glitch Researcher with Devon Corp and former Glitch Researcher with Silph Co. Thanks for taking the time to visit our blog!
I have presently relocated to Glitch City. If you are. Trying to reach me for something related to Devon Corp or our Trainer Fly trials

Anyway, this blog is dedicated to community outreach and general information and awareness about Glitch Pokemon of the Hoenn region.
And I'm Jo!! I'm a co-contributor on this blog! You'll see me around whenever Simon is busy or just can't talk right now. I'm just an intern so go easy on me!
Glitch pokemon are a vital and important part of all ecosystems across every region. I'll be detailing any research done here, and updating about how life is going.

Hey this is Pichu, Mod for this blog. Here's all the info you should know before interacting.
-I am an adult Mod. Open for any kind of Roleplay (high stakes/casual/whatever) (Just no NSFW, mod and mun both not interested.)
-This is a Pokemon IRL blogs with very high likelihood of unreality themes. As such there will be post editing, deletion, and corruption present in specific plotlines. All posts that have a possibility of being altered at any point in the future will be tagged for Unreality with #tw unreality.
-This blog is using a "Glitch Pokemon Are Real Pokemon" AU, so any pokemon that has shown up as a glitch in game is considered a real creature by this blog.
-Due to the nature of glitch pokemon being technically non-canon please let me know if you do not want to interact with this aspect of the blog during RP.
-Simon is a civilian/NPC aligned character on the good side of the morality spectrum. Please note that opinions of the muse do not necessarily represent the opinions of the mun and vice versa.

ADDITIONAL INFO-
Simon has a backstory written on AO3 and a hidden 6th pokemon that is rarely if ever mentioned on blog that being the pokemon below:
Q◣ ( https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Q_◣) - A Kantonian glitch pokemon that followed Simon from his last job at Silph by hiding in his party. It is a Cancel Button pokemon given form, and as such has the innate ability to delete data. It tends to mostly delete Simon's data. Simon DOES NOT use this Pokemon in battle, as this pokemon can tamper with memories and is considered unsafe to train or battle with. It is also incompatible with Pokemon storage systems.
If you are interested in backstory I have a short rundown here:
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the
Organization for Transformative Works

*[Simon is standing in his lab as the video begins. He's in a cast, definitely looking worse for wear, but he seems to at least have an energetic demeanor.
Simon: Hi everyone. If you're watching this it means I've elected to give you access to the encrypted logs I'm keeping on this server that detail my research into the Mail Glitch. If you're watching these, please ensure you're doing to alone, in a private setting or at least away from prying eyes. I thought it would be wise to record my thoughts here as I'm carrying this out so that people can be kept up to date on exactly what I am up to at the lab without having to individually update anyone.
*[ He steps back, adjusting his glasses. The camera pitches in and out of focus before settling on him again. He's holding what seems to be a piece of parchment in his hands.
Simon: So I'm operating under the impression that you all know what I mean when I talk about the Mail Glitch. It is essentially the exploitation of a fold that occurs in time and space when the item a pokemon is holding simultaneously does and does not exist! The easiest way to do this is by knocking off an item that a pokemon previously held by executing a well timed knock off or thief move, while the target pokemon in question holds a piece of mail. When this is done it creates an effect after the battle has ended that looks like this if the rest of your party is currently holding onto letters of their own.
*[He folds a piece of parchment into an envelope and beckons Gilligan, his Pelipper over. He hands the letter to Gills, who goes to grab it with a hearty "Wark!". As soon as he does it vanishes entirely.]
Simon: So. That's the most commonly known version of the Glitch. The general use of it is typically to duplicate items. But I believe there is a deeper use for this Glitch.
Simon: Namely it is in piece of mail that disappeared. Now you may have noticed nothing was written on the piece of mail I handed over to Gills. So, as a result nothing happened! However, that mail is going somewhere, and if it goes somewhere, it will inevitably be read by something.
*[Simon holds up another prepared piece of mail. This one has writing on it, though what's written itself doesn't make much sense. It is nonsense, a few words strung together without meaning or reason. Repetitions of the words "I Choose You" "Highs" and "Wandering". There is a flash of something in Simon's eye. Excitement?
Simon: And if something specific is written that specific arbitrary code will be read, written and executed. Where you might ask? Well, in Hoenn it appears within the world, alterations to the map. But here in Kanto, or at least beneath it..
*[The Camera pans over to a PC. Box 3 is open, empty. As Simon holds up one of these notated letters he folds it into an envelope, keeping eye contact with the camera as he folds it. He gives it to Gills, holding his hands up like he was doing a magic trick, and at once the screen flickers. There is a shift. The box fragments and it's clear in a moment that something is *in* there.
*[Almost immediately he gives Gills another letter and the screen immediately clears, whatever had been causing the distortion gone as soon as it had arrived!
Simon: So you see, this makes alterations to the first slot of Box 3. At the moment, it has only proven capable of creating Bad Eggs. But if it is capable of pulling forth a Bad Egg, it is capable of pulling something else into existence as well. Something even closer to the code.
*[His eye shines even brighter, even wilder, as he stares into the Camera.
Simon: I know from the Statement Jon took what words are necessary to make this a reality. Now all I need to do is find the order, the combination. I'm close I think. Closer than it feels like!
*[ Simon puts away the Mail, straightening himself out.
Simon: I'm sure there will be further applications I uncover as this develops. I'll keep you all updated as I go, and let you know about any major developments that are uncovered in the mean time.
Right, I… acknowledge it’s been some time since I’ve given a proper update. Quite a lot has happened, though most of it I won’t be sharing due to safety concerns.
Having said that, I’ve been tracking what I believed to be a potential Fear-touched Pokemon, however I’m starting to have my doubts. It seems.. largely normal, if not quite shy and fearful.
Admittedly this is the only image I have of it so far
[Image ID: It’s… basically just a dark blur in an equally dark forest. There are two yellow smudges on its face- likely eyes, and glistening talons and teeth. Beyond that it’s.. hard to make out much of anything.]
We know it’s incredibly quick, capable of flight and mostly nocturnal. It’s likely not Fear-touched, but it’s certainly not native to the region.
My darlings, thank you so much for your patience! I was ABDUCTED! Whisked away by brutes! Stolen in the night! It was horrible. But I’m back and I’m fine! ✨

I've noticed recently some warnings on my PC about unexpected operations involving one of my Pokemon boxes. I have all the checksums enabled (I'm pretty paranoid about that) so none of the data is being saved. I think it's hitting my Box 3, so I've moved all my Pokemon out of there, but it's worrying. Are you doing any experiments that would alter box data?
Box 3?
Actually... maybe? I've been doing some preliminary tests with the Mail Glitch.
Say could you... tell me what that data alteration was hitting? Or perhaps trying to hit?
It says "Unexpected substructure mutation: slot 3::1". I think that's box 3, slot 1. Doesn't say what was mutated or in what way. Now that I check, there is an egg stored there that I don't recognize.
It does seem to be called "Bad EGG". I'm not going to open the menu for it; I'd rather not risk anything weird happening. Should I just release it or, I guess I could try to trade it to you guys?
I don't think that slot was filled before. Thankfully, when I started getting warnings I moved everyone out of my Box 3. So, if there is a Pokémon in that egg, it would have had to be totally created by whatever happened. Which is... really spooky to think about.
Bad Eggs are not great news. They're invasive glitch pokemon and they can cause real problems if they're allowed to reproduce. Which they do very rapidly.
Best case scenario you find a way to delete it.
Alright. I need to figure out how to change the location that data is getting written to, to my PC box 3. Maybe it's got to do with my location data. Or something in my bag.
Sorry about the intrusion into your PC box over there!
