Dear Director Akikawa

I hope this letter finds you in good health

I am writing to you today to ask you if I would be able to find an official position at your Illustrious Academy.

As you must be aware, for some time now there have been several dangers to the students present on and around the Academy, from summoned demons and rogue gods to disgruntled fans who throw rocks for fun, and all manner of other dangers. I saw the plight if the students and couldn't bear to stand by knowing that I might try and contribute something to their defense, and so I have been undertaking an effort to match each student with an appropriate polearm, specifically tailored to their needs and personalities.

Of course, when I began I was unaware of the upcoming Safety Inspection. I was later informed of that and so I halted my actions, but I must apologise for any difficulties I may have caused the institution by my actions.

But at the same time I found another outlet for my work, as i found myself briefly Deputised to Trainer Kiryu in providing on site security while the riots were happening. It was at this time that I realised that Tracen does not seem to have an Official Security Detail. Trainer Kiryu of course provides a level of security by his presence but his official position is that of a Trainer meaning he has duties of his own to fulfil vis a vis his trainees, which may make him unable to give his full focus to the task of protecting both the Trainees and the Institute itself.

I also became aware recently that the Academy had received an increase in funding following the completion of the safety inspection. To that end I humbly submit to you an application to the position of Official Tracen Security.

For references, please reach out to Kiryu who will vouch for my character and effectiveness. We made an excellent team during the riot, and he encouraged me to take the step of submitting this application.

If you should choose to accept my application I may start at your convenience. I would begin by taking a survey of the institute and outlining to you a detailed security analysis of the academy grounds with recommendations for adding to the safety and wellbeing of the students.

Tracen Academy is in dire need of security personnel for a variety of reasons, and in addition, you've already established a positive relationship with many students of Tracen Academy.

I would like to accept your application, and hire you to the position of Tracen Security Personnel, where you will be given formal training for the first couple of weeks. Assuming the training goes well, which it assuredly will, your first proper day will be the 25th, where you will support the racers of the Tracen Pride Marathon and protect the event from any potential homophobic protesters or others who wish to get in the way of the event.

Of course, this still requires permission from @yayoi-akikawa-official , who this message has been forwarded to for approval.

Take this: *Anon hands happy meek a Bo staff. A 6ft long thin pole of pine wood. This one feels quite light, as it is a reduced weight training version. Carved into one end is an image of a rabbit*

Learning to use a staff is the entry level of the world of Polearms. I would see you take this and train with it. But not just train your body, but your mind, and your spirit too. Polearms are tools of Protectors, and I think you have it in you to be a great Guardian, if youre willing to work at it.
