Greetings and thanks for the ask! 🙌🏻💖 Vir’Taren likes to stay up really late researching for new forms of magic, elvhen history and somniari evidence in Thedas (they are somniaris so they would like to learn more about fellow somniaris. They were really excited to meet solas, he was their first friend somniari friend). So by the time everyone is ready they are trying to get up from their bed and he’s always late for morning routines; which is an embarrassment for Dorian and they are always making it up to him. Solas would definitely would say curiosity, their pursuit of knowledge knows no bound and it sometimes affects their wellbeing.

In short: what the FUCK is this LIFE the songs have created for me

The funeral song is on point, no complaints there, I absolutely would play Africa if only to make the attendees groan and roll their eyes. Uhhhh the battle song makes me think of a general struggling to maintain troop morale in a desperate situation–there’s no good options, just bad and slightly less bad. The victory song, then, makes a lot of sense: we won(?), but At What Cost? The wedding song made me laugh out fucking loud, because literally one of the lines is “if this is love, I don’t wanna be loved”, and the thought of that playing at a wedding Does Not Compute (in other words, I’m not getting married lmaooooo). But the death song? Hhhhhhh sO unconventional, but honestly the more I think about it the more I fucks with it? Especially cuz of the line “when everything’s made to be broken/I just want you to know who I am”, implying a life consisting of so much misdirection, deflection, and arms-length relationships that NOBODY knows who I am anymore, and using death to state to one specific person (most likely someone I’m saving) that this is who I am, this is who I’ve been, and if only one person gets to see it then I want it to be you. Hhhhhhhh I wanna write it now…
