There's an even more annoying version of the power of friendship, the villain has no friends, the initial problem which caused this issue is never addressed story plot.

A story plot I'm going to refer to as a "Frankenstein's Jesus" plot.

A story plot where the creation/monster's death functions as narrative absolution for the creator's negligence or malice. The monster essentially takes on the moral consequences of the creator's failures.

A "Frankenstein's Jesus" plot occurs when:

Creator culpability: A character creates a monster. They then reject, abuse, abandon, or exploit it, but refuse moral responsibility. The monster inevitably turns destructive.

Monster's death: The creation is destroyed in a way that emotionally and narratively absolves the creators.

Inverted framing: The tragedy is reframed as triumph because the "problem" (the monster) is eliminated, rather than because the creator finally takes accountability.

In Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, the creature's end is tragic. Victor's hubris and abandonment are condemned. The story indicts the creator.

In a Frankenstein's Jesus story, the creator's sins are transferred onto the monster.

No lesson is learned.
