Drei Farben

Whenever I’m in Munich for meetings, I come down here for a few minutes. It’s beautiful, peaceful, and completely ruined by the fact that eventually I have to go back to the meetings.

Bamberg, a city so pretty it looks like someone forgot to switch off the medieval setting and just left it on “peak.”

There’s something extraordinary about watching a sunset from an aircraft window. Up here, the world doesn’t just move, it transforms. Entire cities drift past in minutes, their lights flickering into life before disappearing behind the horizon. Oceans, vast beyond comprehension from the ground, slip beneath you in a matter of hours. And as the sky changes colour by the second, you’re reminded just how immense the planet is and how astonishingly small it can feel from 35,000 feet.

Unfortunately, somewhere between the running and the agricultural shopping expedition, my feet resigned from active service. I can no longer feel them. They may still be attached. Investigations are ongoing.

Heutzutage ist Ehrlichkeit ein echter Fluch. Du lernst jemanden kennen, investierst Zeit, führst echte Gespräche und denkst: „Das könnte tatsächlich etwas werden.“ Dann machst du den fatalen Fehler und magst die Person wirklich. Und was passiert? Erst werden die Antworten immer kürzer, dann herrscht Funkstille, und kurz darauf bist du blockiert. Einfach so. Schneller als ein Sportwagen von 0 auf 100. Traurig. Aber offenbar gehört das inzwischen zum Dating Paket dazu.
