Summary: Jack leaned back into the driver's seat, looking far too pleased with himself. “Careful, Mohan. Keep complimenting me like that and I might start thinking you like me.”
“Don't push it.”
His smile only widened as he started the car. “You’ll see. You’re gonna fall in love with me soon enough.”

Mohabbot Blurb | ADA Compliant (rated E)
To the lovely @toosweetforanyone
Jack should've known that agreeing to be Samira's wedding date was going to complicate things.
She'd first mentioned it a little over a month ago, over takeout at her place. Her cousin, Avira, was getting married in New Jersey, and Samira’s mom had been pestering her to accept the invitation. Samira told him she’d been reluctant to accept, mostly because she knew her aunties would spend the entire weekend asking her why she was still single. Offering to do her a solid and be her date felt like a no-brainer. They were good friends after all. In fact, they were closer now than they were when they worked at the same hospital. Besides, he had the PTO.
The hotel lobby was packed with guests when they finally arrived after their six and a half hour car ride. Jack was pulling up the reservation on his phone as Samira slid her ID across the front desk. “The reservation should be under Samira Mohan.”
The receptionist gave them an apologetic smile. “There seems to be an issue with your room. Unfortunately, there are no more accessible rooms available. What we can do is offer you a standard room instead.”
Jack was prepared to let it go. It was only two nights. He'd dealt with much worse. At least he packed his crutches with him. He probably should’ve brought his rollator too. All he really needed to do was figure out the shower situation.
“I understand that, but a standard room isn’t ADA compliant. We booked an accessible room for a reason. You can't replace an accessible room with a standard room and call it equivalent,” Samira explained.
“You should’ve called us. We should have been given the opportunity to make other arrangements. You can’t wait until a guest arrives and expect them to simply accept whatever room you have left.”
“Again, I’m sorry. Let me see what I can do.”
Jack felt a flutter in his chest as he watched Samira. The reasons he'd once had for keeping his distance were gone. She wasn't a resident anymore. There was no power imbalance to hide behind. Now, the only thing he stood to lose was the person he wanted most.
The receptionist typed for several minutes. “Okay. We have one accessible room available. It's a king instead of the double queens you reserved, but it is ADA compliant.”
“That works,” Samira told her.
The worker’s shoulders relaxed. “I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Here are your room keys. Please enjoy your stay.”
Once they were headed toward the elevators, Jack nudged her shoulder. “Thanks for back there.”
She shrugged it off as if it were no big deal, but to him it had meant everything. “You really don’t have to thank me. You’re the one doing me a favor by coming here in the first place.”
The elevator doors slid open for them to step inside. As Jack pressed their floor, the words finally caught up with him. “Wait, she said king.”
Samira didn’t appear bothered in the slightest. “Jack, we just spent over six hours trapped in a car together. I think we'll survive sharing a mattress for two nights.”
•••
The rehearsal dinner had been exactly as terrifying as Samira predicted. At least four different relatives had asked some variation of the same question throughout the night. When was he going to pop the question? It didn’t matter that Samira introduced him as a friend and not her boyfriend. It probably didn’t help that Samira had reached for his hand when they walked into the restaurant, and when she’d gone to the restroom, he’d ordered her a gin and tonic, her drink of choice.
They’d gotten back to the room forty minutes ago. Now Jack lay on his back, staring at the ceiling, while Samira rested beside him. “Jack?” she asked.
“Yeah?”
Samira rolled onto her side to face him. “Do you ever think about how weird this is? You know... us?”
Jack frowned. “Weird how?”
“When I left PMTC, I thought we'd see each other less. Now I see you all the time, which is kinda ironic. I don’t know. I just… I like that you’re here. I like being around you.”
“I like being around you too. You mean a lot to me, Samira.”
She reached for his hand underneath the sheets. “One of my aunties told me something tonight. She said you look at me the way my Appa looked at my Amma. I laughed it off, but I haven't been able to stop thinking about it.”
She squeezed his hand. “I don’t want to be just friends anymore, Jack.”
Jack was positive his heart stopped at that very moment. He didn't think. He simply reached out, his fingers sliding to her jaw. Then her mouth was on his.
The kiss started out slow until she parted her lips and he tasted her tongue. He knew right then and there that he’d never get enough of her. His hand slid into her curls. Then she made a sound that shot straight to his cock. “Jack. I want this. I want you.”
“Samira.” He pulled back an inch, his forehead against hers. “You sure? Because once we start…”
“I'm sure. I’m tired of waiting.” Her hand cupped him through his boxers. “Need you to fuck me.”
His lips were back on hers as he rolled her onto her back. He found the hem of her shirt and pushed it up over her head. Her bra followed, and then he was looking at her. She was breathtaking. An angel on earth. “So goddamn beautiful,” he told her, ducking his head to kiss her neck.
Samira’s fingers fisted into his curls, pulling on the strands. “More.”
“My eager girl,” he murmured. She arched her back as he took a dusty brown nipple in his mouth, flicking his tongue over the sensitive bud. When he slipped his hand into her shorts, his fingers met the damp cotton of her underwear. “Wet for me already, huh? You want this, baby?”
“So badly. Don’t make me wait.”
“Never.” He dragged her shorts and panties down her legs. After he started stripping off his own clothes, his body went still. “Shit, I don’t have a condom.”
“It’s okay. I have an IUD. Now stop making me wait.”
“We gotta learn to work on your patience. I want to take my time with you. Get you nice and ready for me,” he told her.
“I’m ready. I swear, Jack, if you don’t stick your dick inside me in the next minute, I’m gonna lose my shit. I’m gonna be a lot meaner than I was downstairs.” He didn’t doubt it for a second.
“Turn around then. I want to see you on your hands and knees for me.“
She moved onto all fours, her ass in the air. The sight of her like that made Jack’s mouth go dry. He moved behind her, his cock pressing against her entrance. “Still gonna be mean? Or are you gonna be a good girl for me?”
“I can be good.”
He pushed in, giving her time to adjust. She was tight. He moaned, his hands gripping her hips. “Look at you. Taking me so well. Is this what you wanted?”
“Yes. Harder,“ she gasped. “Please, Jack. Just fuck me harder.”
He obliged, his thrusts deepening. “Pretty girl. That’s it. Just like that.”
“Feels so fucking good, Jack. Please don’t stop.”
His fingers found her clit, and she cried out in pleasure. Her arms buckled. She had to drop onto her elbows. Jack didn't let up. He needed to give her exactly what she wanted.
Her hand flew back, gripping his thigh. She dug her nails into his skin. “I'm so close.”
“Then come for me, sweetheart. Let me feel you.”
She came with a shuddering cry, her walls clamping down on him. He joined her after a few more strokes, burying himself deep.
Samira laughed as she collapsed into the mattress. “I can’t feel my legs.”
Jack gently pulled out. “Guess you needed the ADA room more than I did,” he teased.
She stuck her tongue out at him and lifted her arms up. “Can you carry me to the bathroom so that I can pee?”
He bent to put his prosthesis back on. Then he scooped her up into his arms, planting a kiss on her forehead. “Anything for you.”
I actually cannot read anything Mohabbot that isn’t fluff or smut because if I read anything that involves them breaking up or an unhappy ending or just to much angst in general I will start violently sobbing
i love being a difficult woman. i’ll never be easy to deal with.

They're infantilizing Mel because she's autistic. It's not that they're shedding refreshing light on platonic friendships. Dennis and Trinity are a refreshing platonic friendship. Abbot and Dana are a platonic friendship. They don't think that Mel can be a fully realized adult with romantic and sexual inclinations because she's autistic and they think that makes her a child. That's why NW is against the ship.
"I just don't see her that way." Right. Why do you think that is?

Mohabbot Blurb | Lemonade
The brutal summer heat seemed to finally make its way to Pittsburgh. Even with the AC running full blast and the ceiling fan going, there was no escape from it.
Samira had started her morning lounging by the pool in her new peach bikini. Now she was curled up on the couch with a book in her lap, one leg tucked underneath her. Cassie had recommended the spicy romance novel, which was a far cry from her usual JAMA articles. She had been stuck on the same page for nearly ten minutes.
It wasn’t the book’s fault. She kept getting distracted by Jack. Her gaze drifted toward the front window again, for what had to be the fifth or sixth time in the past five minutes. She simply couldn’t help it.
Jack was out on the mower, finally giving in to how overgrown the grass had gotten after insisting for days that it could wait. He guided it across the yard, leaving neat stripes behind him. His T-shirt was off, slung over one shoulder, sweat glistening across his chest. It caught in the silver and auburn threads of hair dusting his chest before disappearing beneath the waistband of his cargo shorts.
She watched him make another pass, one hand loose on the steering wheel while the other tapped against his thigh to the beat of whatever song was playing through his headphones. If she had to guess, it was probably some yacht rock one.
With a heavy sigh, she closed the book and finally gave up pretending. She padded into the kitchen, the cool hardwood a relief against her bare feet. The fridge door opened with a creak, and she reached for the pitcher of lemonade they’d made when they’d babysat his niece the other week. Jack had insisted they make it from scratch instead of using the Crystal Light packets in the cabinet, because, in his words, fresh always tasted better. She poured the lemonade and watched condensation start to form almost instantly along the sides.
Cradling the glass in her hand, she stepped out onto the front porch. Her body wasn’t ready for the twenty-degree difference. The air felt thick against her skin, hard to even breathe through.
The mower was already slowing to a stop. Jack glanced toward the porch and did a quick double take, a cocky grin spreading across his face as he pulled his Airpod out from his ear. “Hi, sweetheart.”
“You’ve been out here forever. Figured you’d be thirsty,” Samira told him, holding out the glass.
Jack's eyes dropped to it before returning to her face. "You worried about me?"
She rolled her eyes, though she couldn't quite hide her own smile. "I can’t have you passing out on me from heat exhaustion."
"Mm." He accepted the glass from her. "Thank you."
He tipped it back, and Samira watched his throat work as he drank. One long swallow turned into several, the ice clinking against the glass until nearly half of it was gone. A few droplets escaped the corner of his mouth, disappearing into his silver stubble.
Samira unconsciously reached up and wiped one away with the pad of her thumb.
Figuring her mission accomplished, she turned back toward the house. She had barely made it three steps before his voice carried after her. “Where’re you going?”
She glanced over her shoulder. “Inside. It’s too hot out here.”
He set the half-empty glass into the cup holder, then patted his thigh. “C’mere.”
Samira shook her head, laughing. “What? No.”
“I’m serious. Come here.”
She reluctantly crossed the few feet between them. Jack shifted back in the seat to make room, one hand coming to her waist as she climbed up sideways onto his lap. She looped an arm around his shoulders to keep her balance. “There. Much better,” he said, sounding satisfied.
“Is this what you wanted?” she asked, observing the new freckles forming on the bridge of his nose.
The question made him peer down at her. One hand stayed on the wheel while the other rested on her thigh. “It’s exactly what I wanted. I think it’s what you wanted too.”
Her brows lifted. “Oh, is that so?”
His mouth quirked. “You didn’t think I noticed you’ve been ogling me from the window all afternoon.”
“I…” she started.
He kissed her, cutting off whatever argument might have followed and leaving her with nothing but the taste of lemon on her lips.
