are black people more likely to have schizophrenia or ODD, or are labels of "psychosis" and "defiance" simply used to further dismiss, oppress, and imprison BIPOC?

are white people more likely to have autism and ADHD, or are doctors just more willing to accept that white children are disabled and not just "bad?"

I think there’s like two camps of these people. On one side you’ve got your Joe Rogans. People who just don’t trust the current people in power and want someone who they perceive as kinda edgy. They don’t really truly care about policy as much as they say they do. They care about being controversial and sticking it to The Man™ even if The Man™ in reality is the guy they’re voting for.

On the other hand you’ve got people like my cousins who voted for Drump who I’m still mad at about that. They just want things to get better. They just vote for the guy promising to make the biggest changes whether his track record speaks to that or not. They care about the price of food, they care about potholes, they care about their perceived sense of safety, and they just back the guy promising to do the most about that.

I think that the second group is probably bigger and the first group is louder. Mamdani and Sanders have made a lot of progress showing off how a person on the left can appeal to both of them, but more center left people are scared of making big sweeping statements about what they think ought to be done in fear of ruffling too many feathers.

This means:

If you draw a hard line between "drug" and "medicine" based on current legality where you live (or any other criteria) you've gone wrong somewhere,

If you think legality and/or prescription status tells you all you need about a substance's capacity to do massive harm to someone's body, mind or well-being you've gone wrong somewhere,

If you think legality and/or prescription status tells you all you need about a substance's capacity to contribute meaningfully to someone's healing, function or happiness you've gone wrong somewhere,
