question about Aphrodite/Venus
hi everyone! odd question, kind of. it relates to spirituality and greek gods and stuff (of which I am very inexperienced so if i use improper words and terms please forgive me).
a year ago i was speaking to someone who is quite spiritually aware/psychically open/etc. they receive a lot of messages from the spiritual world? they're a psychic? unsure how to phrase it.
i was asking about the feasibility of certain study abroad programs. i got a negative response for many. the options available to me were thailand, london, canada, new zealand.
then the psychic person said that they heard a message, saying that it's not a good time for me to study abroad, and i should wait, because there WAS a place I should go to but later in life. i said ok, what's a good place for me to go? and they said Greece, specifically Cyprus (which was not an option anywhere that I could find). I asked for what subject of study (academically i have many fingers in different pies so to speak). they said classical/mythological studies (which i was NOT currently studying, but interestingly, it was something I was growing rapidly fascinated by).
at the time, i had ZERO clue what Cyprus was. I kept Googling "cypress" etc. i couldn't get any answers, but then eventually found that Cyprus was an island.
i put that conversation out of my mind.
fast forward exactly one year later, and i feel called to worship/appreciate Aphrodite or Venus or whatever form that energy of love and beauty takes on. i've been wanting to lean into self-love and wanting to appreciate life's beauty more. i've also been wanting help with love in friendships and other connections. i feel like i've been struggling with unstable self-worth and a fear of opening myself up to loving connections.
I did some Google searching about her and realized that Cyprus is the birthplace of Aphrodite!? which i was pretty surprised to learn!
other things: i've been really randomly extremely attracted to coastal and ocean things, pearls, pink, and other things I've learned are apparently associated with this goddess!
all that to say.... anyone with actual experience with Aphrodite/Venus, do we think this is a significant sign of some sort? if not, do you think it's ok to start building a relationship with Aphrodite/Venus, even if I have minimal knowledge and prior experience with greek gods?
I'm just not sure how to go about this, but I'd be grateful for any insight you have!
