i love rabbot where they have been down bad for eachother from the start. like they met and both of them instantly became obsessed with the other.
it didn't take them very long to get together, maybe a few months at most. perhaps it was after a night out and they were both a little tipsy and one of them made the first move, or maybe they were hanging out at one of their places (or even their dorm if you want rabbot roommates) and one thing led to another and all of the sudden the pair were kissing.
after getting together they were as attached at the hip as they could be at the time. they were rarely seen without the other and if they were it probably wasn't by choice. by the time jack was ready to ship of for the military they had been dating for YEARS so they decided to stay together even if it was hard.
that was until robby's dumbass felt guilty that he could potentially bring harm to jack and broke up with him. but that didn't last long, by some miracle 3 months post breakup jack and robby happen to run in to eachother and it was as if nothing changed. there were a lot of apologies said from robby and jack was just happy to have his man back. jack even proposed even though they couldn't get married legally. next time jack was on leave he made sure to have a ring for robby, plain and simple but he was just happy to be able to show that robby was taken. jack loved gushing to his friends on base about his fiancé back home and he was never doubted even though all he did was switch the pronouns and if asked his girl back home was named "michelle".
years down the line they were finally able to get married legally and neither of them couldn't wait. the day gay marriage became legal in PA those boys raced to the court house. they had a small wedding ceremony with their loved ones and both of them had the biggest smiles on their faces. they had waited almost 20 years for this and they can't believe they're finally married.
it's even funnier to think about how they kept their own last names at work so that there wasn't any confusion caused. so everytime a new med student or resident comes they are so confused about rabbot's dynamic. obviously they are both married, but why do they never talk about their spouses. robby's wedding band is a nice silver ring plain, while abbot's is thicker and made out of a hat looks to be steel or something similar. even though they work separate shifts whenever there is overlap it becomes the robby's ogling abbot show and they don't understand why a married man is staring at a fellow attending like that. obviously they eventually find out he truth but it's never from robby or jack themselves.
