“Out of the whole world wide internet, how had Steve been able to connect with the only other sad loser from Indiana cruising dorky chat-rooms on a Friday night?”

It can't possibly be only five years ago that Steve graduated high-school.

He wakes up daily still in the mindset that he has something to prove to everybody, yet has absolutely no idea what that something is.

And he gets it- that's the worst part- he gets why his parents have thrown him this ultimatum. But panic isn't exactly a motivator. Not for someone stuck in an endless loop of dead end jobs and broken hearts.

Or: Steve gets the big idea about exactly the wrong thing and ends up finding the one silver lining outside of his suburban prison.
