We had a great time capturing Jess and Tim in a rare moment of amazing warm weather between snow storms this winter! We spent some time over at the Iwo Jima Memorial and the Lincoln Memorial where Jess often runs Marathons and Tim cheers her on! We had perfect beautiful light for some great sunset images and warm fun sun flares. Congratulations Jess and Tim!

I had a great time photographing Josmin & JP's Gaye Holud. This was my first time experiencing the event and I found it fascinating! The ceremony is a Bangladeshi tradition where turmeric paste is applied to the bride and groom to make their skin glow on their wedding day. It starts off with entrance of the groom's family and followed the bride. After dinner and the application of the turmeric paste we were treated to some amazing dancing by Josmin's family. I was honored to have the part of capturing an amazing family tradition! 

Hanging out in Minnesota this week at the cabin and it's just gorgeous here. Well except for that storm I see on the horizon...

A sneak peak of the adorable Eric Mello! Just a week old!

This was a quick work trip and I didn't bring my tripod unfortunately. So these are all hand held from the top of a hotel (I won't mention which since I probably wasn't supposed to be up there :). These were shot with my Nikon d750 and a Nikon 24-70 2.8 (my work horse). All were around f8 and higher shutter speeds and iso due to being handheld. I would of loved to of been able to take some night shots as well, however being handheld just didn't quite make it possible.
