the update that I sent to my parents today as a south Minneapolis resident:
Last night around 9pm the memorial to Renee Good was intentionally set on fire by agitators, ID unknown. ICE is still here, they're just trying to be covert and have US Marshalls and the local police do work for them . Local groups are still patrolling, setting up watch towers, and organizing protests and action . Whats most rough is that people who have lost family members or are too scared to leave home are struggling and our limp wristed governor and mayor are doing Jack to help, vetoed an eviction moratorium. There's a solid chance there will be a rent strike starting March 1st. Just wanted to shoot you an update bc Im sure the federal government would like people to think they've left the city and/or Won in some way, and that's not the case . The people here don't intend on letting them get away with downsizing we want them gone

ice just murdered someone in broad daylight in minneapolis, just a few miles from where my mom works. they tried to open her vehicle, so she started to drive away and they shot her. in the face. at point blank range. like 4 times.
they are just killing and stealing us from the street here. the person who murdered her looked so casual about it. im terrified for my whole community. my neighborhood has been raided twice. that child rapist who runs our gov is using other predators to kill us all for profit. the american way jfhc

ICE murdered a woman in cold blood just an hour from where I live. She was shot four, maybe five, times in her face. She was trying to leave and was told by someone with no authority over her to exit her vehicle. An agent stood in front of her vehicle as if to stop her, and another just took his gun and killed her AS SHE WAS TRYING TO LEAVE. Kristi Noem and DHS are already spinning a story that the victim was at fault but that's bullshit. If Jacob Frey and Tim Walz fail to arrest and prosecute these agents, then that is it, folks. I am livid just outraged at what is happening HERE AND NOW. IT WILL ONLY ESCALATE IT CAN ONLY GET WORSE IF NOTHING IS DONE BY TONIGHT.
ICE has killed again
ICE murdered an observer, Alex Pretti, in cold blood this morning.
As ICE was pepper spraying a woman, Mr. Pretti stepped between the woman and the pig, and was sprayed for his trouble. As he turned away to shield himself, the pig followed him, along with 6-7 others, shoving and pulling Alex to the ground. As Alex tried to defend himself for exercising his constitutional rights, the pigs pulled him around.
Alex Pretti was a registered, permitted gun owner, and he was carrying concealed his 9mm handgun. At no time did Alex Pretti draw his firearm, wave it, or aim it at the pigs. When ICE saw it, one agent moved in and removed the firearm. Seconds later, two different agents shot Alex twice as they were retreating. Alex Pretti lied motionless and bleeding for several seconds before one of the pigs fired 6-7 more shots into his body, killing him.
To be clear:
Alex Pretti was legally observing federal activity
He intervened when ICE maced a woman without cause
He was maced, assaulted, and detained
He was legally carrying a firearm, but never drew it
He was shot about 10 times by masked agents of the state
Alex Jeffrey Pretti was executed by DHS
DHS, FBI, BOP, and MN state police used chemical munitions on protestors, including CS and HC gas and pepper balls, as well as rubber bullets. DHS unlawfully arrested a local hip hop artist, Nur-D, aka Matthew James. Witnesses to the execution have also been taken into federal custody.
The people of Minneapolis now occupy the block where he was murdered. Barricades have been erected, warming fires have been lit, businesses on the block are providing food, warming spaces, and bathrooms for residents.
We will resist. We will fight. We will win.
