taylor swift invited a guy who owns and operates an ice detention center to her wedding swifties can pack it up forever now your bitch is awful
Wild how no one made announcements like this about P.Diddy when his trial was happening.
Wild how abusive artists like Micheal Jackson can have biography movies made and not a single mention of accused abuses or the subsequent trials will be mentioned.
Hmmmm I wonder why people feel the need to explicitly condemn women and any action they may have possibly been a part of (like inviting a shitty guy to your wedding) yet do not extend this same behavior to men in the same industry who commit abuse and atrocities on a much larger scale đ¤?
yeah i hate concentration camps because i hate women you caught me
No, you feel the need to publicly denounce Taylor Swift because you hate women.
Taylor Swift doesn't run a concentration camp, even your retort attempting to be cute shows your ignorance and generalization of the topic.
i've never attempted to be cute in my life it comes very naturally to me âşď¸ like compartmentalization for you
âYou clearly hate womenâ, concludes the blogger after seeing yet another valid criticism of a music artist so powerful she can single-handedly grind an entire major city to a halt for her wedding, or can increase CO2 emissions in a statistically significant way when she doesnât want to deal with Los Angeles traffic.
With a satisfied smile, the blogger lets their brain return to a warm and gentle B-mode where criticism of any other celebrity does not exist, because the bloggerâs favorite singer is the One True Celebrity. The blogger need not read the vast amounts of criticisms of the latest Michael Jackson biopic. The blogger need not pay attention to any post not tagged with the name of their One True Celebrity.
One day, the blogger knows, they will receive their Eternal Reward for being a True Fan of the One True Celebrity and defending her from all the blind, sexist sheep who only pretend to care about the climate and immigrants and the normalization of fascism and racist dog whistles and stopping the onslaught of end-stage capitalism so that they can dunk on a beautiful, white, innocent, frail little flower of a woman who needs the protection of someone Chosen - like the blogger.
With a self-satisfied smirk, the blogger returns to their Matrix-style sleep pod filled with pony beads instead of slime and hooks themselves in, returning to a slumber that will power Taylorâs personal vibrator until the next Google Alert wakes the blogger for another round of defense. As the blogger drifts into slumber, their eyes fluttering, Taylorâs voice can be heard, praising the Chosen bloggerâs efforts, her beautiful, melodic voice line only interrupted by the customized name portion which sounds like the CVS phone voice:
âThank you, [Pleasure Wand Power Unit 758]! You sure did a good job [defending my friendship with people who run concentration camps]. Donât forget to buy the seven new re-releases of my last twelve albums in special edition cases! My honeymoon isnât going to pay for itself!â
Smiling, the blogger returns to the nether once more, dreaming only of the twelve new versions of old songs theyâd soon be able to buy, screwing over younger, up-and-coming women in the music industry (who are sexist for trying to be women in the industry that belongs to Taylor).

The christian family in these memes (which are absolutely all over facebook these days) genuinely do always look miserable. Who the fuck is relating to these stock mormon farm cultists. That is a couple who made love only once in pitch darkness with bags on their heads then celebrated the pregnancy with a feast of uncooked potatoes and warm tapwater. The baby seems intrigued though. Maybe only by the bottle of pills??

UNPOPULAR OPINION: A lot of "mental health issues" disappear when bills are paid, rent is secure, and the fridge is full. Peace is expensive. And pretending money doesn't affect mental health is privilege.
The south Wales-born singer, whose other hits included Holding Out For a Hero, sold millions of records in the 1970s and 80s.
Well that's extremely shitty. RIP Bonnie, you absolute legend.
[id. A twitter post by @/Bennieeexyz Jury duty letter came addressed to my cat. Not a mistake. "Felix Martinez" - that's his full name according to his vet records. My last name. His first name. Somehow he's a registered voter now. Called the county clerk. Me: My cat got summoned for jury duty. Clerk: Is the name correct on the summons? Me: Yes, but he's a cat. Clerk: Is Felix Martinez a legal resident of this county? Me: He's a legal cat. Clerk: Sir, if the name matches our records, he needs to appear or file an exemption. Me: He can't file anything. He has paws. Clerk: You can file on his behalf. Me: Under what exemption? There's no box for "is a cat." Clerk: (pause) Check "unable to serve due to medical reasons." Me: What's the medical reason? Clerk: He's a cat. Me: That's not a medical condition. Clerk: It is if it prevents him from serving. Sent in the form. Got rejected two weeks later. "Insufficient documentation. Please provide medical professional's statement." Took the letter to my vet. Me: I need you to write that my cat can't do jury duty. Vet: Why is your cat summoned for jury duty? Me: Excellent question. No good answer. Vet: This is the weirdest request I've gotten. Me: Can you just write that he's medically unfit to serve? Vet: On what grounds? Me: He's a cat. Vet: (started typing) "Patient is unable to serve due to species-related limitations including inability to speak, read, or comprehend legal proceedings." Me: Perfect. Sent it in. Got another rejection. "Summons is mandatory. Failure to appear will result in contempt of court." My roommate thought this was hilarious. Roommate: Felix is going to jail. Me: This is serious. Roommate: Bring him to court. See what happens. Decided that was actually the only option left. Day of jury duty, put Felix in his carrier. Brought the entire paper trail of rejection letters. Checked in at the courthouse. Clerk: Name? Me: Felix Martinez. Clerk: (looked at the cat carrier) Is that Felix? Me: Yes. Clerk: (long stare) He's a cat. Me: I've been saying that for six weeks. Clerk: Why didn't you file an exemption? Me: I filed three. All rejected. Showed her the letters. She read through them, expression shifting from confusion to disbelief. Clerk: Someone rejected the veterinary documentation? Me: Twice. Clerk: (called her supervisor over) You need to see this. Supervisor read everything. Looked at Felix. Looked at me. Supervisor: How did a cat get registered to vote? Me: You tell me. Supervisor: This is a data error. Me: Took you six weeks to figure that out. They dismissed Felix immediately. Apologized for the inconvenience. Supervisor: We'll remove him from the voter registry. Me: Appreciate it. Supervisor: (pause) Out of curiosity, how would he have voted? Me: Probably whatever party supports universal treats. Got a formal apology letter a week later and a voter registration card. For me this time. Apparently I wasn't registered, but my cat was. Roommate: Felix committed voter fraud. Me: Felix committed nothing. He's innocent. Roommate: That's what they all say. Felix is sleeping on the jury summons now. Fitting end to his legal career. end id]

I donât think healthy people every really get chronic illness.
I have a friend I know from when we were both 6. She is the only person living nearby and so she saw me go from walking through limping to wheelchair on a daily basis. I keep her updated on my health even tho we rarely hang out anymore. She was gonna come over yesterday and I had to cancel. She asked if I canât hang out later that day. When I said i wonât feel better later, that if I feel that bad in the morning later will only get worse she got annoyed and âjokedâ that Iâm just finding excuses. And I was surprised, she knows all about me being disabled after all? So, a bit taken aback, I told her itâs a normal thing for me.
âBut you got the diagnosis now, arenât you better?? I thought youâll get better nowâ
She was honestly surprised and it made me realize a thing. They donât get it. They donât get that getting diagnosed only equals benefits like welfare or parking spot for us, and sometimes better pain meds but that is just like pushing luck. That itâs a forever thing. That that one day we felt good a week ago was just a bright spot and doesnât mean we wonât need our aids anymore, cause chronic illness is not linear and will make a great comeback in next four hours, and the next good day is planned on when weâre 70. Cause when abled people are sick, they get better. And our illness is just an excuse for them. And when we say we will never get better they think weâre being dramatic and pessimistic. And I donât think theyâll ever get it, cause to get it you need to live it. And I want my friends to stay healthy and not go through hell.
This is definitely okay to reblog and abled people are encouraged to reblog cause maybe itâll help others understand
Hello itâs me Lexa and this post is relevant again as I just had the Legit Same Talk with someone and I exhausted my number of fucks to give
It never ceases to amaze me how much Healthy People Donât Get It.
My OH gets upset sometimes because I try to not talk about being sick to their parents and I rarely take up their parentsâ offers of help, but it just involves so much ongoing Not Getting It that it uses far more spoons than it could ever save.
We travelled a long way to their cousinâs wedding a few months ago and the hotel turned out to be monumentally inaccessible, and it was made *so* much worse by them not getting that after a nine-hour drive and then the lift being broken and the receptionist being *horrible* and forcing me to crawl up the stairs on my hands and knees, that no, I was physically incapable of going out for dinner and was in fact barely restraining myself from weeping in pain and fatigue. And weâve been married for more than 15 years; theyâve seen me the entire time Iâve been sick.
And Iâve had total crashes in front of them before, and it was awful, and they were incredibly worried and upset about it, and I had to use spoons I really didnât have to explain it all, and in the end they seemed to get it.
But it doesnât *stick*. It all resets.
So that after a couple of months itâs as though it never happened.
Itâs like living in Groundhog Day.
Healthy people are just, apparently, incapable of processing the idea that *this is our lives*, and no, we canât turn it off for fun or to make their lives easier, and resting in advance or getting a good nightâs sleep doesnât solve it. Itâs what we live with constantly, and it really does suck on its own, but the constant lack of getting it and blaming from healthy people really does make it so, so much worse.
Much love and solidarity to you, OP
I really can and will blame the 9-5 for everything. "We're in a loneliness epidemic" well, we have to spend a third of our day interacting with people in a professional way that makes forming real friendships difficult and then we're peopled out by the time we're done. "People are eating more and more unhealthily" people have to spend more than a third of their day doing work related tasks and they don't want to spend their tiny amount of free time making food. "People aren't involved in their local communities" after spending more than a third of their day doing work related things people are tired and also all those community events take place during normal working hours. "People need to get more hobbies" after spending more than a third of their day working, people are TIRED and don't want to do anything that takes yet more energy. "Literacy is dying" to maintain your critical thinking skills you need to read/watch things that make you think and after spending more than a third of your day doing work related stuff you are TIRED and don't want to expend even more brainnpower. "People need to get outside more" People. Are. TIRED. Because they have to spend all of their time working or preparing for work or recovering from work or doing all the chores they couldn't stay on top of because of work. I can blame fucking anything on having to work, it is truly the root of all fucking evil.
Hey OP, love your scalding take here; don't forget about commutes.
Once you factor in commute times (which even for short distances can be grotesquely inflated due to the fact that so many people are all commuting at the same time, but that's a different conversation) many people are actually devoting upwards of 10-12 hours a day on "work related tasks."
Man I miss free the nipple. Its getting warmer and we donât even have free the nipple anymore
feminism has backslid so hard in recent years people don't even know what free the nipple means anymore
To clarify for those who don't know, "free the nipple" isn't about going braless, it's about going topless
No shirt, no bra, completely bare torso, just like cis men are allowed to
It's about desexualizing breasts and "female presenting nipples" and not being criminalized for our bodies if we want to go topless because it's a million damn degrees out. This was a popular growing movement that was still widely known a decade ago!
And the fact that not wearing a bra is so discouraged and stigmatized that people think the movement was about being able to go braless under your shirt in public rather than about being able to not wear a shirt at all says a lot about how far we've backslid in the past decade
I do think part of the reason we don't have standardized clothes sizing is because clothes are. Really complicated. Most of them do actually have more than one aspect of fit. It makes sense that companies resist printing like the dozens of measurements they use to make, say, a pair of jeans. On one level, it's just a lot for a customer to think about and consider. And then on the other...
They don't want people to understand that "the problem" they have is that the jeans aren't made for them. Manufacturers prefer for them to continue buying jeans they don't like and feeling like their body is the problem.
But if you had to list all the measurements, it would quickly get really obvious suddenly how many decisions got made as "these jeans are actually only for people of one body type" and "wait, all the jeans basically are made for this same body type". Which might make more room for competitors to actually make jeans for different body types! Can't be having that!
I just get so upset! People constantly have the same problems with clothes they own and conclude that it's an inherent problem with their body, often incorrectly assuming it has to do with having more fat/muscles even when it's about a completely different measurement. Because nobody fucking knows about crotch length!!! They don't think about it!
