Wolfgang Schäuble, important German politician (was e. g. minister for inner affairs, and president of the Bundestag), held a laudatory speech for politician Peer Steinbrück who won a prize for his book.

In this laudatory speech, at least this is what the newspaper article says, he quoted "Marcus Tullius Cicero". The fact is: He didn't.

Actually, he quoted Tiro who said what Cicero had said to him in Robert Harris's novel "Imperium".

And it's such genius that there's this happy picture of Schäuble congratulating Steinbrück in the article while Jutta's genius found them out...

My dad is quite old in comparison to most dads out there. He remarried my mom after his wife had died, and then I was born.

My dad was born in the year 1938 and is German, that means he grew up in the midst of World War II.

He now re-reads all Karl May books. He had all the books, but moved and had to leave his entire collection in his old home.

In the cellar, we have multiple volumes of collector's albums: Some times after the war, a German company selling butter decided to put tiny collectible cards into the butter packets on which different scenes from the books were depicted chronologically.

My dad, as a boy, went through great effort to collect them all, traded with all sorts of people, and, finally, got them all together.

Because they had no glue at home, he stuck them into the album with some wheat mixed with water.

They stick till today and these albums are the cutest thing ever.
