CLASSICISTS AND CICERO-FANs
I need y'all help!!!
I have been doing some research on a particular matter in regard to Cicero and I hope that I can find a way to find textual passages in Cicero (letters, his dialogues and books, rumours, etc.) without having to skim or read through the entire work.
I have read several essays and texts which mention that Cicero disapproved of homosexuality/same-sex relations. I found this confusing because Roman men were usually bi af and the New Pauly states that sexual orientation was guided by social status and positions during sex. His disapproval of homosexuality is for example stated in Anthony Everitt's "Cicero", but without any proof. William McDermott makes the same claim in "M. Cicero and M. Tiro" in relation to a text passage about (homo)sexual violence against a member of the Roman military (Roman citizen) which would of course be condemned because the soldier was "feminized" by that act among other reasons. Passages in the Philippics for example also relate to the man taking up the penetrated position and being ridiculed for that.
I am therefore looking for all passages in Cicero's works or in relation to Cicero which mention homo-/bisexual relationships (sexual or non-sexual), opinions on same-sex relations, everything that is if even only slightly in relation to that topic.

I see that there is a community of classicists on this site. This community appreciates the literary achievements of the ancient Greeks, but also Greek myth and what the latter tells us about humans in general. All this is very good, but on the other hand the truth that I don’t see in these people much understanding of and appreciation for some crucial and distinctive contributions of the ancient Greeks, and I mean obviously here political experimentation and political thought, philosophy, science, and historiography.
