tintin is the dancing queen

I gave Tintin a 'sack suit' cause I think he'd appreciate the loose fabric and structure for his tearing about cities and countries. I also think the sleek silhouette suits his more modern sensibilities. I'm not sure if baker boy caps were popular, but I added it for vibes. His quiff is more of a sweep since the fashionable hairline was wavy, parted, combed down hair. I also gave Snowy a lil blue bow to reference Tintin's colour palette in the comics.

I reckon he would still be an intrepid journalist, especially since it's when newspapers and population literacy were really gaining momentum. There was a lot of enthusiasm for detective stories (ACD's Sherlock Holmes was the result of detective popularity, not the start of it) so I think he would take a more detective-like role. I am imagining that post that's like "Tintin is a reverse Sherlock Holmes."

The Captain was harder to draw since there weren't many specific references for an 1860s sea captain, so I went for general sailor vibes. There was a lot less thought here (whoops) but I think I accurately translated Captain Haddock into a Victoriana setting. He would definitely still be a sailor, but I kind of think he would be lower on the hierarchy cause of the Haddock curse— but still a loyal, grizzled member of the crew. Maybe even a lighthouse keeper? Not sure.
