I almost forgot there are two Dutch/Flemish dubs for The Adventures of Tintin TV show...
The original one that aired on TV in the 90s/00s and got DVD releases. And then the "new" one they made when it aired on TV in the 2010s and went to streaming. Which also means Prime Video has the "new" dub and it's throwing me off a little, especially because Haddok is voiced by Mr. Krabs...
I do think I prefer the og dub just a bit more, but that's mainly nostalgia. Though, the early 2010s is so long ago that it counts as nostalgia now, too... (fuck, I'm getting old).
Anyway, guess I need to binge watch the DVDs now, too.
Been thinking a lot about Tintin the past few days. It was such a big part of my life in the early 2010s, aka when the 2011 movie came out (are we getting that sequel or what?!)
It's been a while since I watched the Nelvana TV show from the 90s, but apparently it's available on the Dutch Prime Video?! Welp, I know what my next binge watch show is!
I have such fond memories of this show. I remember watching it on TV before I officially became a Tintin fan. I mean, I'm Dutch, so wheter you're a fan or not, you'll be familiar with Tintin here. And I watched it so often during my Tintin era.
Sigh... I'm getting so old. So many hyperfixations... that will never truly leave, because they'll always find a way back.
