Okay so like. He'd be fucking PISSEDDD at first, for sure, but he'd get over it within about five minutes, because we know Dewey. ADHD brain, gotta love him.

He'd get interested in the fact that he'd get to play guitar on the bus, even though he's blatantly disobeying the societal standards put in the teacher's lounge. The unspoken rule of "silence in the charter bus."

The kids of course are fine with whatever, but they are pretty bored of the idea of going to a boring history museum all day.

FORTUNATELY.

Dewey's the only adult going. Well. Him and you.

He invites you to come along, and Ms. Mullins seems to have no argument since it's just a "harmless museum trip." Little does she know.

And so, you all get to the museum, your heart happy and bright as the kids seemed to love playing Go-Fish and playing their instruments for you in the back of the bus, while Dewey looked at you with lovestruck eyes in the rearview mirror.

The plan was to go learn from the front of the museum to the back. But.

It's all boring as FUCK. Little tiny artifacts that don't even catch your eye. They look so basic! Nothing interesting at all, no STORY, no nothing.

And if you as an ADULT thought it was boring? God imagine what these kids thought.

So, as Summer tries to keep the boys in check (who decide that trying to shove pencils up each others' noses are a FANTASTIC idea.), and Katie tries to get Dewey's attention, you decide to pull out your teacher voice and your hand claps.

Oh you have one of those? A teacher voice? Cool. Good to know.

Of course Dewey is a red MESS after seeing you raise your voice in a calm way, he seems to like that. For.. whatever reason. (He's such a bottom.)

The kids listen to you immediately, like it's second nature, and you all head back outside, and send the kids on the bus for a few minutes while you stand outside with Dew.

He's panicking, you can tell. He's not sure what to do with these twenty-something kids in a museum where they will for sure lose their minds.

He starts rambling, his hair bouncing with every sputter, and you cut him off with a kiss, your fingers running through his hair, a calming method you always use. His rambles stop immediately, and you decide that the best thing might be to just try another time.

Oh come on. We know Dewey better than that.

With mischief in his eyes, he hops back on the bus, working to do a final head count, while you sit in the front row of seats, closest to the driver's seat.

You have no idea what he's up to, but before you know it, he starts blasting Twisted Sister's "I Wanna Rock" over the bus speakers, him turning around to tell everyone to sit tight, as he shoots a wink your way, which dusts your cheeks red.

Fifteen minutes later, after a fun playlist of ACDC, Ozzy Osbourne, and Guns-N-Roses, and the kids screaming along to every note, you all end up at the ice cream shop.

You know, the one you and Dew went to after your first date?

Yeah, that one.

He looks back at you with a soft look, as he parks on the far side of the lot, to keep the bus out of the way, and his eyes are filled with such love it makes your chest ache.

The kids are already hopping up, shaking Dew's shoulders to unlock the bus doors to let them out, to which he complies with a chuckle.

You love how soft he gets for those kids. They adore him almost as much as you do.

He takes your hand, planting a soft, lingering kiss on your lips before leaving a few teasing nips on your collarbone, highlighted by the T-Shirt you chose to wear.

He's such a tease. Damnit, Dew.

He leads you by the hand, out towards the Ice Cream Parlor, as you follow the laughing children.

Better than any fucking museum ever could have done.
