Oh My God

This one is difficult.

After revisiting this one, it seems as though this officer was immediately remorseful over what happened. I can sympathize with him.

However, it doesn't change the fact that he killed an innocent man.

I can understand not wanting to charge a truly remorseful and broken man for a heated killing; however, for a police officer to unexpectedly draw his weapon, fire upon and kill an innocent man...

I dunno... This one is rough.

Philando Castile seems to have been a totally innocent victim. I believe he was a victim. But after having watched this footage... I cannot say with conviction that this killing was intended or out of total disregard. Eric Garner, George Floyd... Those were out of complete disregard. This one I believe was due to the Heat-of-the-moment from an inexperienced and twitchy officer who was too afraid.

That's how I read this encounter.

Obviously, Philando Castile should still be alive today to greet the kids who looked up to him everyday at the place he worked. This man, by all rights should still be alive today. Personally, I'd love to have met him.

But after reviewing all that I have, preliminarily, I don't believe that this officer was hell-bent on killing anyone. I think he was just inexperienced and jittery.
