@miriocore Hello! Wanted to clear up a question you had about the term “mate” being used! The term mate here is referring to a chosen dedicated partner. My mate and I’s original meeting point was in Hell as demons (well he was a full, I was part, but not the point). In Hell, at least the part we were in, mates are seen as chosen dedicated eternal partners. It’s not just about wanting to have children, it’s about intertwining souls and fates for eternity. There’s a process of linking the souls together so that they’re able to find each other in future lives and be drawn to each other. I believe another term for this is “soulbound”? But yeah! That’s what mate was referring to here!

As someone also getting big draws that feel like a likely kinnection to bnha and is an adult, and who have had kintypes in the past that are/were minors for their source, I have two comments to make:

1) People can age in the world outside of the cannon. The show may stop when they're 17, but you remember life up until 50-something. The source ending doesn't mean the life ends, just that our story later wasn't something the creator wanted to go into. It's okay!

2) Minors die. You can't control when you died. If you died at age 14 in a car crash or something, that isn't your fault. You can be someone who died at a very young age. Just don't try to sexualize yourself when you're in more of that mindset or shift or whatever you want to call it, and don't sexualize the character themselves, and you're good in my opinion. You can't control if you died in a war plagued country at 12, but you can control your part in creating and consuming inappropriate content of said minor aged character! ^_^

Yes, you are that person. But it’s kind of like someone saying “I am a witch” vs “I am practicing witchcraft”. It is both something you are and something you do. In the same train of thought, you being that character is you being kin of that character. Basically it’s just a different way of saying “That was me in a past life” or “I was this person in a past life”. Let’s use one of my kin as an example.

1) I kin Celty.2) I am Celty kin.3) I was Celty.4) I am Celty.

These are all pretty much the same statement, just using different language and structure or tense.

Now to the second part. It’s not so much that you’re different being around others, unless you have...difficult circumstances. As someone who had very abusive parents I often had to “mask” myself and behave differently than who I truly was in order to protect myself. But that’s a different matter I won’t get into. What I was more meaning with answering that other ask, which is what I’m assuming you’re referring to, was that some people are better at connecting with past lives when they are not in the presents of others. Sometimes they may be too tense or not paying attention as much to a source or what-have-you while others are nearby, thus possibly not have memories or connecting with their past life even with it right in front of them. I wasn’t saying so much that it changes who you are or your kin or anything. I hope that clears things up!

Do you mean do you kin easier if you’re not around others? I’m not sure exactly... I think it’s different for everyone. Some people likely can connect easier when alone with a source or with their thoughts as they can dive deeper and allow themselves to be more open in feelings and thoughts. Others it doesn’t matter and they can kin while in a crowd of people or with family or friends.I think it depends on the person.
