BLINK ⁽ᵃᵖ⁾

          “ Reinhardt! ”     --- From afar, she catches sight of the looming figure in the crowd and without fear of being caught with mistaking a friend as she’s already done and been scolded for countless times before, she zips towards him and practically flings herself onto his back as arms struggle to wrap him in an attempted bear hug- even since her trainee days, he and Jesse proved better at it than she could ever do. Hesitation finally settles in before she snaps away to snake around him to verify with face rather than sheer build if her assumptions are correct, brows scrunching in scrutiny until the squint in her eyes relaxes enough for her to properly see.     “ Ah! It really is you! Are you here to paaaarty, or to scope out the cuties?  ” 

          “ I can’t imagine what it must be like biting the bullet like that and still looking flawless, but I suppose they look happy with their red carpet looks, so who’s to say what’s what right?  ”

          “ Oh, uh, I’m so sorry about this, uuuum, ”     --- Apt to deal with crises as she may be, those that could make or break a first impression have failed to really take root in her social dictionary. Fingers tug at the handkerchief in her breast pocket to dab at the stain as the embarrassment and panic grow more evident on her features, overwhelmed far more than she really should be.     “ I-I’m almost certain I saw stain remover somewhere, but even through my time, I’ve yet to see someone invent one that can fight wine.  ” 

          “ Oh, you look as pretty as a picture, love,  ”     --- An arm drapes over the other’s shoulder as her free hand tugs at the lapel of her blazer before motioning to Muffet’s own. Despite only have spoken a few times, it wasn’t hard to tell that she was a genuinely good person, and that laugh of hers was simply too contagious.     “Looks like you and I are one of the many fine ladies who went with the suit option, and a fine choice, might I add.  ”

   With a sigh, she seats herself beside a nearby outlet, carefully unhooks and undies the clasps and lifts the harness from her shoulders to display the full view of her suit despite the wrinkles ironed in by the mechanism’s weight. Fingers fumble with the wire before it clicks to its port, a successful connection made clear by the estimated charging time displayed in outward over the holographic rings in the front. 

          “ Sure is inconvenient having to carry a charger around and be near it all this time, but I guess that’s leagues better than being dead. I certainly hope a cute girl would be so kind as to come over to keep me company if everyone leaves before I’ve had a taste of the party. ”
