Thoughts on the suitcase residents ambushing vertin and just dragging her to dress her up into anything they think would look good on her (spoiler everything looks good on her) but I honestly think even if they don’t ambush her she would still abide and let them dress her up they just think ambushing her would be more fun
I had a very similar thought! Jennifer gets sick of seeing Vertin training her suit and dragging her off (with a very curious Sonetto) to get some new clothes. However, Vertin's fun to dress up and they get carried away. She's nice so she humors them. In the end she might leave with a simple tie or suspenders though, much to their disappointment.
The Timekeeper needs a pair of jeans but the world is not ready for that yet. Or a leather jacket. Or a cuddly set of pajamas. Or a Hawaiian shirt because why not? The list goes on...
Vertin does have other things in her wardrobe according to her promotional art.
Vertin knows that sports exist but doesn’t know much beyond that. She's so out of her depth but she's like "I know they use balls in sports! People tell me about them."
She has no idea wtf is going on but she's happy to participate. Also, this interaction with Desert Flannel supports my idea of Vertin not being competitive. She doesn't get it, but she's happy to run around and help.
You know how Matilda was the duckling of the group with Shamane and the others? That's what Vertin feels like here. Very useful and an integral part of the team...but also very lost. She's doing her best.

While making this iceberg, I asked some people who know more about Sky than I do if they could recommend things to add, and generally put things I’ve heard of but generally don’t know much about here, and sometimes I don’t have much to work with in terms of context. I trust they exist/happened, but if I say something confidently here or in the 5th tier preceded by “I’ve been told that…”, maybe take the finer details with a barrel of salt.
Not everything in sanctuary is canon: During the start of sanctuary, many skykids were skeptical on the canonicity/validity/existence of some cosmetics (like the sunglasses or orange flower cape, claiming they were too modern for a setting like Sky), and one of the TGC staff came onto the discord to say that, in seasons and events they like to break the fourth wall a bit to make everything more fun and they did this more than they ever had in sanctuary, and so not everything in sanc should be considered official canon (shoutout to “frutziechan” for giving me more context on this; I got almost no context from the aforementioned sky people and it felt very weird getting only two sentences about this, lol).
Eden beam: The thing about this, is this is one of the things is Sky we know least about. Why does the Eden crystal exude a beam of light? Where does it come from? Where does it go?
Blue Eden: An OOB that existed in Light Awaits, featuring the elders getting blasted away from the Eden crystal— similar to the final shattering quest. In fact, the elder models are the same (or so I’ve been told)!
Old opening - Isle: I’ve been told that, in Light Awaits (an earlier version?), the original opening for the game was your skykid, lying amidst a group of other, dead skykids.
Skykids have no teeth: Ok. I have no idea where this is from. But I trust the aforementioned Sky people that this is in fact confirmed from somewhere.
One star in starlight desert brighter than the rest: Gonna be honest I’m not sure where this should be placed, I just put it at the bottom since I’ve never seen anyone talk about it. If you look closely at the sky in the starlight desert, you can see a star ever so slightly different from the rest— it has a different shape, it spins, and it shares the same shine that comes off of winged light.

Here’s a goofy ooc Vernetto exchange I came up with. Tbh I just wanted to think about sleep deprived Vertin being silly and Sonetto continuing to never beat the ouppy allegations💀💀
Sugarcrash
Recently, Sonetto had witnessed the Timekeeper go through one of their most challenging ordeals yet: no Picrasma Candy.
They were due to get another batch from Medicine Pocket themself, but due to ‘higher priority projects’, they refused to manufacture any unless Vertin coughed up some extra funds, which they had a distinct lack thereof.
When Sonetto checked earlier that day, Vertin had been on their last few pieces, determined to ration what they had. It was now late in the evening, leaving Sonetto with very grim feelings about what state her superior could possibly be in.
She could distantly recall learning the signs of withdrawal symptoms, and her blood ran cold. If the claims of Pricrasma Candy containing alcohol were to be believed, then Vertin could be suffering from a lack of that and the cell stimulating effect of the Pricrasma concentrates.
And as the Timekeeper’s chief assistant, their wellbeing was her top priority! She had to check up on them.
“Timekeeper? It’s Sonetto. Please may I come in?”
She knocked on Vertin’s door, ears pricked for a reply.
“Come in.” Came the Timekeeper’s voice in an unusually flat tone.
Entering their office, Sonetto immediately made a beeline to Vertin, whose posture was a bit too rigid while their head was slumped at a good 45° angle.
Even in their exhaustion, they held onto the pen that they were using to fight off the insurmountable amount of paperwork they had received. Her gaze softening, Sonetto wrenched the pen from their hand and put it aside.
“It’s alright, Timekeeper,” she whispered gently. “You can go rest in your room. I’ll handle the rest of the reports for you.”
In scenarios like these, Sonetto expected to hear some sort of protest from the ever altruistic Vertin. But to her surprise, none came. They simply watched her as she took the papers from their desk.
“Mmh… Thank you, Sonetto…”
There was a long pause before Vertin said something else, half lidded silver eyes blinking slowly at her.
“…pretty.”
“Sorry?” Sonetto asked, cheeks instantly turning as red as her hair.
“Pretty girl. You’re such a pretty girl,” Vertin said in an incoherent manner that somewhat resembled cooing. “Who’s a pretty girl? Who’s a pretty girl? You are, you are…”
To Sonetto’s flabbergasted delight, Vertin brought their gentle, uncoordinated hands to her head, ruffling her hair and squishing her cheeks, all the while tumbling all sorts of strange praises from her mouth.
But just as she was settling into the affection, they snapped out of it, and quickly recoiled their hands. She just barely put a lid on the whine that was about to escape her throat.
“My apologies, Sonetto,” Vertin whispered, mortified at themself. “To be frank… I think I am losing it.”
“I— you—” she took a deep breath. “That’s alright, Timekeeper.”
