“All infants are different,” Jemma shrugged. “Ayla always liked my jokes. What age is yours?”

“Sorry! I promise I didn’t mean to offend you. I’m just curious.”

“Beat me to it,” Felicia smirked as she reached forward through the hole and grabbed her candy bar she’d been eyeing for the past five minutes. “Are those things real?”

“Believe me, I get it. The amount of people who ask to touch my hair is ridiculous.”

“Sorry! I just figured it was worth a shot.”

“What happened ten years ago? If uh, you don’t mind me asking.”

“Sorry, sorry. I get the same way with my arrows. Not the same thing, but…”

Clint chuckled at Greer’s words as he shook his head at her and fiddled around with the suction arrow in his hands, glancing up at her. “Guess so,” He mused, listening to her next words and shaking his head slightly at the mention of Kate. “So I heard. It seems like a nice upgrade.” He tried to think of how to describe Kate, but sidekick might have been a slightly strong word. “I don’t know if I’d say sidekick. It’s more-so a babysitting gig.” He joked, taking a deep breath. “She got wrapped up with the Tracksuits, I’m just helping her get them out of her hair.” He intentionally left out the stuff about the Ronin suit, figuring that wasn’t necessary.

“That sounds rough to try to explain.” Daisy frowned, feeling for Greer. Kids weren’t easy on their own, let alone adding the extra superpower stuff on top of that. 

“Don’t trust atoms – they make up everything.” Jemma grinned before letting out a loud laugh. “Get it? Because atoms literally make up everything.”

“No one’s getting blown up on my watch, Greer.” Clint insisted, examining the bag a little more before laughing softly to himself. “Whoops, these are the suction tips anyways. False alarm. How’ve you been?”

“Is your kid big into science or something?” Daisy questioned, curious at what Greer meant.

“Nope, stop right there. Before you say anything— this is just as confusing for me as it is for you. Scratch that— this is way more confusing for me. So just- don’t say anything stupid, alright?”

“I’m sorry – it’s just so majestic. I won’t ask again.”

“it wasn’t a cult, alright? it was - more of a, uh - a commune.”

“Well, it’s a sandwich. Not as nice as night-pizza on a rooftop but— food is food.”
