“Oh it was great! Is it weird that I kinda missed this place, though?” she asked curiously. Getting to spend her summer break with her friends and family had been amazing, but there was something about being surrounded by all of these amazing individuals that shared such similar goals to her own. She felt at home here, which was a good thing, she supposed, considering that this was going to be home for the next year. “Remind me to come to you for advice when second year starts kicking my butt”
“It’s not weird at all,” the brunette reassured, “this place somehow grows on you despite all the stress,” she shrugged at the sentiment, knowing it was the truth; regardless of how often she’d rather be elsewhere, Iya knew that this was a place she learned to call home. “No need to make me feel like a grandma now,” laughing airily as she warned, “what are you most excited about this year?”
milolovell·:
“You can’t take a joke, can you?” Milo accused. “Are you always this dull? Let me guess: You’re the straight A student type. Rational. Always thinking about the next step and not living in the moment.” He said as though it was a diagnosis for an illness. “You should do something about that. It’s just no way to live. That shit’ll kill you slow.”
Having a stranger list off traits about her would have normally made Iaso slightly uncomfortable, except it was a confirmation that her plan was going well. Continuing to play along, hiding the smirk her features threatened to show, “And what do you suggest I should do about it to maintain my youth? Cut class? Get in a fight? Vandalize?”
gwendolynmeyers·:
“You have no idea.” Gwen let out a laugh. “Some people around here really know what buttons to push.”
Knowing very well what the other had been speaking of, Iya laughed along and reminded, “Well you know my number if I have to fish you out of the principal’s office again,”
Why must my feelings be "rational"? Is it not enough to sit quietly in my hawaiian shirt, deranged?

“What are you doing out here?” Osiris asked, surprised to see there was someone out this far in Ground Omega. Granted, he wasn’t supposed to be there either, but it was the only place he could actually be alone when there wasn’t a training session. He was worried, if the person who caught him decided to tell, he could be in a world of trouble.·
Knees bent and pressed closed to her chest, Iaso sat on the bottom of a tree, headphones resting on her shoulders, anticipating the voice to follow the footsteps she began to hear. “Seems to be the only quiet place on campus when classes aren’t in session,” she simply responded before returning the question, “what are you doing out here?”

Cyrus had been relaxing in one of the nearest common rooms in the spot with the best sunlight, enjoying what little free time he had. This was mostly a mini recharge for him, as he was pretty exhausted since training. Just when he found his peace, two people were arguing in the common room about some stupid project. “ This is why group projects should be outlawed.” Cyrus said to himself before lazily starting to move towards the door to move to a quieter spot. “Oh..fuck I forgot m-” In one instant, Cyrus felt an energetic blast hit him in the chest and sent him flying to through the open door. He had a split second to lessen the impact by utilizing his abilities and not making the blow as bad as it could have been. His head had been laying against the wall, and his heads immediately went to ease the pain. “ my backpack..” Cyrus could see someone looking down towards him, immediately smiling at them. “This looks really bad but can you grab my backpack. It’s brand new..and I don’t trust everyone here.” He’d always find the humor in something, even when he’d just been blasted into a wall.
Eyes busy scanning the contents of her purse, highly regretting switching over from her backpack as a fashion experiment, the loud bang that could have only come from a body being slammed on the wall was the only thing that brought her attention back. Her first two years had introduced Iaso to the constant motions and sounds of everyone’s training and quirks erupting here and there, around the clock, and she would normally not be surprised had this not occurred mere inches in front of her. “You sure know how to greet someone, Cy,” proceeding over to procure the other’s backpack and immediately returning it to the owner. Iya leaned down to make sure he had been alright, taking a quick second to heal up the small abrasion she had spotted on the back of his head. “What did you get yourself into so early?”
milolovell·:·
“I’m trying to decide if I would have preferred prison.” He said, reaching up and stroking his chin feigning deep thought. His eyes squinting as he let out a small hum. “I mean part of me thinks I would have done great there but then you gotta wonder if you might have become someone’s bitch.” He shrugged his shoulders and moved his hand from his chin to rest against the wall. “What do you think?”
“Oh sure, the monotonous routine, bland food, lack of free will,” Iaso sarcastically responded just as mindlessly as she had been rearranging her locker, “and not to mention your reputation for if and when you get released,” closing the metal cage softly and bringing her bag over her shoulders, “over, you know, freedom and high level education, sure sounds like the good trade off to me.”
gwendolynmeyers·:
“All I have to say is i’m glad I get my own room around here, because if I didn’t it would make it even harder to get through this rehabilitation course.” Gwen rolled her eyes tossing the book in her hand into the messenger bag slung around her shoulder.·
At the other’s comment, Iya couldn’t help but laugh in agreement, “Yeah? Why do you say that?” following the other’s movement and bringing her bag around her shoulders, “not a big fan of your classmates?”

“Hmm?” Atticus looked up from the book he’d had his nose buried in all morning between classes, his lips curling into an apologetic grin as he wondered how long the other had been standing there. He tended to become so fixated on things once they caught his focus that it was hard to pull that focus elsewhere a lot of the time. “What’s up? How can I help you?” he asked, closing the book entirely now. A lot of the time other students only bothered to approach him when they desired support equipment that would compliment their quirks, so he just assumed that this would be one of those conversations. ·
The Public Eye: What sells a hero? course recently gave out projects to their class and Iaso had gotten assigned a hero whose quirk was plant related, leading the brunette on a rabbit hole and currently three chapters into a dendrology book, wandering around campus examining every tree she passes by. As she stared into an oak, taking note of its structure, a voice caught her attention from below and without hesitation, she answered with a question “What aspect of trees do you notice first and what do you think is the strongest?”

“Well I mean, the school is tough on us but that’s the point right? Listen ,you’re going to do great! general studies’ dorm is that way.” Evangeline said to one of the first years. She was on the welcoming committee for the first day so was helping everyone find their dorms and various other things on campus. “Hi welcome to UAU! Need any help finding anything?”
With a soft tune playing through her ears, Iaso mindlessly made her way from the library back to the dorms when she spotted a familiar face. Deciding to go for a quick banter, she lowered her headphones and joked, “Yeah, I happened to lose my mind over the summer,” context filled with sarcasm with a tone that’s anything but, “do you know where I can get that back?”

“Mmm. Can’t talk. Eating. So good” Honey spoke between chewing her mouthful of pancakes, her hand covering her mouth as she looked over at the other. “Are you sure you don’t want any? You’re seriously missing out…they’re fluffy!” she explained delightedly after swallowing. It didn’t matter that it was lunchtime, she saw nothing wrong with eating breakfast for lunch if it meant satisfying her sweet tooth. “How are you settling in?”·
One of the many things Iaso had always admired about Honey is her ability to be so passionate about sweets just as her name advertises for an inch of chocolate would be enough for the brunette herself to last for an entire month. Shaking her head with a smile, Iya respectfully refused the other’s offer and simply minded her own sandwich. “Alright, same as usual,” giving a shrug, “third time around the block so nothing could possibly surprise me at this point. What about you? How was your break?”

Joon stepped out of his dorm room, a deep sigh falling from his lips as the door closed behind him. One step at a time. Running a hand through his dark locks, the man made his way to the elevator. Pressing the button, his foot tapped with the beeping as it made it’s way up to his floor. He stepped into the metal box, hitting the lobby mindlessly, his thoughts elsewhere as the elevator slowly worked its way down the floors. Joon wasn’t nervous about his first day, rather he was unsure. Unsure of how everyone would react to him or how he would cope with his new environment. The idea of living in dorms was already unappealing to him but it was better than a cell. As the doors opened once again, he moved to step out, stopping when another person’s figure darted by, almost taking him down with it. “Watch it.” He snapped, all his attention focused back on what his body was doing. ·
Picking up on a person’s tone, even the slightest, to read one’s emotions was never a forte that Iaso gained. Throughout her life, including her first two years here in UA, she never learned to take what others felt into account nor did she bother to and the very few quarrels she had ever been apart of stemmed from this very reason. So when she had bumped into the other and got snapped at, she was quick to shrug it off. “Pretty sure you were the one that hit me,” she said out of plain observance in a monotonous tone, not meaning any harm despite how sarcastic it came out, “but sure, I can definitely watch where I’m going. Maybe you should try it too.”
