@rculettexâ asked: Send âOOFâ to pin my muse against the wall by ACCIDENT
Tara didnât make a habit of heroics. She understood the fundamentals but her state of mind worked against her, after all her first concern was typically her own life. There were only two exceptions in the form of rage against a certain masked man and affection for a certain green skinned shifter. Nonetheless, just because she wasnât a hero didnât mean she had to be, by default, a villain. Instead, she tried not to be involved. She fought for her own survival and that was it. That was all it needed to be. No villaining, no heroing. Even when random people pinned you against the wall by tripping over- Tara didnât even catch what tripped them. Just walking one moment, and the next being cornered. Her heart raced with permission, memories of being locked in like this before flashing through her mind. She felt rocks rising in her emotional pressure, her fear pushing her powers to protect her. So, Tara knocked her head against the brick behind her. She needed to shake this off. This girl was a clumsy fool, she didnât need the attention of harming anyone. âOff.â She demanded, her tone producing more panic then she intended. Her hands churned into fists, fighting her own powers that screamed for protection in her panic. âYou need to get off me now.â It was more for the girlâs sake then her own, really. She wasnât that panicked. Not at all. Nope nope nope.Â
Evangeline spotted the blonde down the street, just as Slade said sheâd be. âTara will speak to me and no will get hurt.â She said softly and her eyes lit up a moment. Then she started to walk towards her. Evangelineâs powers could be unpredictable, so specifying was a must in situations like this. She didnât want to ask for rain and get a monsoon. She stayed alert, looking for what may be the cause for their meeting and was worried it wasnât working. That was before someone knocked up a loose piece of cement, the tip of her shoes catching it and causing her to crash into the woman. Stupid Fate Powers.
Evangeline noticed the fear and tremor of the ground below her. âIâm so sorry. itâs ok. Youâre fine. Everything is fine. Just calm down.â She said softly. She pretended to rub her eyes so Tara wouldnât one see her eyes glow as she used her power to diffuse the womanâs defensive. âIâm such a klutz sometimes. Are you hurt?â she asked genuinely, tucking a piece of dyed green behind her ear. It perfectly matched Garfield LoganâsâŠsomeone she idolized long before Slade got his claws into her.
