i think it’s finally time i share what happened with the field office i did with @a-song-of-flowers. it happened a few days ago, so not everything is going to be fresh on my mind, but i’ll do my best to recall the events as they happened.
this all began when rose and i entered the final story of the fo, with the boiler. for those unaware, the field office has 5 stories, with two stories filled with battles and two filled with some sort of minigame designed to help you unlock gag tracks since you aren’t allowed all of them in the beginning. my laff is pretty high, im probably missing maybe 10 laff points at the most. this battle was awful for everyone, especially me.
the boiler boss was a 2 star and kept on attacking me and i lost so much laff so quickly. my laff went down to less than 30 and i asked kindly for a toon-up, which rose gave me. it didnt help much though because the next round i went back to the laff i was just at, to which rose tried again for a toon-up, but failed. i thought i was going to be okay, but when i saw what was happening, i knew it wasn’t going to be okay.
i begged my team for a unite, but it fell on deaf ears because no one gave it. rose later told me she didnt have any tu unites or she def would have used one. to one’s surprise, i went sad and was sent back to the brrgh to get my laff back, but of course, i lost all of my gags, including all my level 7 gags, which i had for each track. thankfully, i was able to get them back easily because i had organic trap and the rest were at 0 to go.
it doesnt change the fact that bc players were cheap or didn’t want to listen, i went sad. as a higher level toon, it’s unacceptable that i went sad. im not saying that im angry about the gags. im angry that they thought it was okay to do that. what if i was a smaller toon, with less laff and that was my first fo? i def wouldnt want any toon to feel like it’s their fault the battle went sour when it wasn’t. as a higher laff toon, its your responsibility to first listen and to help your team. you should know better, especially with a facility like a fo.
lesson of the story: listen to your team and their needs. it’s not like it was one toon screwing things up for everyone. it was 2 toons. please don’t do this to other players.
