Iβd be doing all of us a disservice if I pretended this latest post didnβt make me stop and think.
If youβve followed my blog for a while, you know I donβt like ignoring things simply because they donβt fit my interpretation. I think itβs important to acknowledge them, sit with them, and ask honest questions. This latest post doesnβt fit neatly into the picture I had in my head, and Iβm okay admitting that. Sometimes the hardest part of following public figures is accepting that we only ever see carefully chosen moments, and those moments can leave us with more questions than answers.
That said, one post doesnβt erase the reasons I arrived at my perspective in the first place. My thoughts about Luke and Nicola were never built on a single photograph or one social media upload. They came from looking at years of interviews, interactions, and the overall impression their dynamic left with me. Thatβs still where Iβm sitting today.
Part of that overall picture includes the shifts weβve all watched happen over time. There was a period when they interacted publicly on social media much more often. We saw more conversations, more engagement, and more visible support between them. Then, over time, that public interaction became much quieter. Likes became occasional. Public exchanges became rare.
Whether there was a reason for that change or whether it simply reflected a different chapter of their lives, I canβt say with certainty. But I also canβt pretend I didnβt notice it. Like everything else, itβs part of the larger timeline that shaped how I arrived at my perspective.
And thatβs why I donβt find myself reacting to one post in isolation. I tend to look at the broader picture rather than any single moment. And this post was reminded me about certain articles (G/E) we have seen published.
Could I be wrong? Absolutely. Iβve always said none of us know the private details of their lives with certainty. But at this moment, this post alone isnβt enough to make me abandon what I believe. Instead, itβs simply another public moment that Iβm trying to understand alongside everything else weβve all observed and I tend to lean performative and narrative pushing.
For now, Iβm choosing to do what Iβve always tried to do: stay curious, stay honest, and keep an open mind.
If my perspective ever changes, it wonβt be because I felt pressured to react to one post. It will be because the overall picture changed in a way that genuinely changed my understanding (aka an announcement from the parties involved and not just pictures with tags).
Until then, Iβm still here. Iβm still a Lukola. And overall Iβm still interested in the bigger conversation about love, connection, and why certain relationships resonate so deeply with so many of usβ¦ we saw something with Luke and Nicola.
