it's interesting how misa calls light "[her] golden temple by the sea" in the death note musical, probably in reference to the famous golden pavilion of the rokuon-ji temple in kyoto. because the pavilion isn't actually by the sea, but instead overlooks a pond, which fits well with rem singing earlier that misa is "like a frog in a well / who is sure he's in the ocean" in relation to her love for light
