I find it to be a mixed bag, sometimes good (Hasar and Renia, Emrys and Malakhai) and sometimes bad (Helion as the promiscuous bisexual trope). Mor’s coming out scene feels too real to me personally for me to attack it even though I see the problems, it’s like, half good half bad imo.

the fandom/ant*is are so split that sometimes it seems as if people are either going to love anything SJM does or viciously hate it and there’s so little room for nuanced criticism…since everything is like, a continuous feedback loop in which your love or hate is going to be reinforced by others…and I’m just wondering what like…actual LGBTQ readers think! 

What relationships and rep did you like? Which do you hate? What rep do you want to see her improve on or put into later books? Do you even want her to continue writing LGBTQ characters?

Please please please go read it if you haven’t yet, it’s a beautiful modern AU and it makes my heart so happy.  ❤ As do these two amazing women, who are so immensely talented and I am beyond lucky to be able to call them my friends.

You can leave the store and buy something elsewhere

“Are you gay or are you straight?”

I’m both? So Bi?

I like no one, I’m ace. 

I’m anything else, really, this is a spectrum and I define my own orientation.
