In moments of panic

I sit,

Head in lap,

Contorted.

Twisted limbs

Itching, searching

For ways out -

Perhaps ways in

to the silence.

Stillness;

Softness of a breath

resting easy on lips.

I am resilient,

permanence only remains

in all the things you know

a reminder for myself:

there are no rules,

no timelines to follow;

just a life to live,

and learn,

and love,

i see it differently.

except what that means is

i was looking for something

you couldn’t give.

so instead i closed the tab,

closed myself,

After 1268 days it’s time to bring this blog to an end. What was meant to be a 365 day challenge turned into nearly four years of writing daily. I started posting here in the second year of my undergrad, and now I’m winding up my masters. It feels like the right time to start something new. I’m grateful for the growth, self-discovery, opportunity for reflection, and the many many many incredible people I’ve met here along the way. Thank you for providing a loving home for my words. I’m excited to see what the next chapter brings!
