Post-Realization Eddie and Volt adjusting to the concept of aging
Years of hunching over his work, not taking breaks, and poor ergonomics gives Eddie back/joint pain after a while. Volt has to force him to sit down and accept a massage, though Eddie never hates it as much as he pretends to. Constantly working with his hands gives him tremors like the split wire used to, or maybe even carpal tunnel.
Volt noticing the first sign of a wrinkle and running straight for the drugstore in search for anti-aging cream. He comes home with an 8-step face routine and face masks that he forces Eddie to try as well. They end up lounging on the couch with full face, under-eye, and lip masks.
Eddie noticing one (1) gray hair and silently panicking, thinking he might be dying. When Volt sees it he panicks and calls the doctor. He is hung up on.
Volt realizing his stomach is getting softer. His diet hasn’t changed, he eats pretty well, so what’s happened? He has to learn the hard way that human metabolisms slow down as you age, so a lot of people gain weight as they get older. He’s pouty about it until he realizes this just means extra pillow to force Eddie to sleep.
Eddie squinting at the TV one day and Volt noticing. Eddie dismisses the concern, but Volt forces him to see an optometrist. Apparently, human eyes also start to wear out over time, exacerbated by things like doing work in dim lighting (Volt glares at Eddie pointedly) and not taking eye breaks (Volt glares harder). When they get home, Eddie is annoyed but silently marveling at how much clearer the world is now that he’s wearing corrective lenses.
They got tattoos early into their time as humans— not from Harper, no thank you. They have plenty of friends who have tattoos, but are shocked to realize that tattoos actually kind of fade and age over time.
They used to spend time at bars/clubs, go out to dinners with old friends, etc. Eventually they turn into that couple that hosts dinner parties at their place and makes everyone leave by 10, then are in bed and cuddling before 12. This is their bliss.
