MW: Hueshifter is a alternative universe with a simple premise.
What if things happened a little differently?
This is going to be quite lengthy fun description and information dump under more, so get seated and enjoy :3
In the beginning, there was nothingโฆ
And then a white flash appeared.
From this white light, three colors emerged:
Primary Red
Yellow
And Blue.
They spread across the galaxy and breathed new life into the barren lands.
Their biggest accomplishment were the Terrans. The eldest of kind, combining all three primaries.
They strived for greatness, their curiosity and stubbornness kept them going to discover a way to connect to the other races.
They established first community and communications between planets.
Trades, laws, and first universal translators.
Eventually the Terrans being to wonder about the Primaries. Their powers and abilities to create life so effortlessly.
And soโฆ They tried to create their own. A new color, a new deity.
And theyโฆ
Succeed.
By combing Main parts Blue and Yellow, they created the base, but by adding Red, they stabilized it.
This new deity was weak at first, but quickly developed its strength and started to create new life, even in the most inhabitable places.
It was an incredible feat and the Terrans celebrated. However not everyone was thrilled. The Primary colors, offended by the audacity of the Terrans to create something matching their own power, they decided to sabotage Green and destroy it.
This,
this was the decision that would bring nothing but destruction upon the entire galaxy.
By tearing Green apart, it went undone, and triggered the Cataclysm.
This event effectively damaged half of the galaxy.

The Primaries gave orders and created L.A.W.
Terrans were ordered to be eradicated on sight.
Any Terrans technology, books, items related were to be destroyed.
It is prohibited to speak the Terran language, or of Terran culture.

โWowโฆ What hypocrites they are, huh?โ
L.A.W. Quarantined the infected Zone and started an aggressive pushback against Green, making a moderate progress at removing it.
But before complete eradication, Terrans made had a backup plan for their species in a form of making 2 Vessels, one mechanical and one of flesh.
A first vessel (a satellite basically) that functions as a lengthy library of all the Terrans knowledge and history. This Vessel was then sent out to the edge of the galaxy, so it would be complicated to capture and destroy it.
And then second vessel. One of a kind life, made out of all the colors and capable of many great things- however its knowledge of these powers had to be restrained and hidden until the right time arrives.
Itโs not that hard to realize who this might be.
Anyway, onto section thatโs more of a summary of things happening:
- Shrike was taken under L.A.W. as an endling, cuz the Reds couldnโt tell heโs โartificialโ life.
- Shrike eventually gets sick of being in the Reinforcement and snaps at one of his supervisors, which activates his first primary ability, Red.
- Each of his tentacles corresponds to one color- These colors appeared slowly first upon discovering.
- Eventually L.A.W. Wants to keep Shrike locked up, but he is already on the loose, and so to not create panic amongst galaxy, they do not put up a warrant on his head- basically making him free to do whatever and explore his powers (This still gets him into trouble but he usually gets himself out of it).
- After some time, life became boring for Shrike and so he started watching different species and cultures closely- seeing the patterns and social hierarchies.
- Bulldog Browns, a recently disgraced Walrinian, especially caught his attention by actively going against his own traditions.
- And at some point Bulldog reaches rock bottom, and thatโs when heโs approached by Shrike and offered a chance to change everything he once knew.
And since then they are on adventures across the galaxy, trying to live their lives, running away from L.A.W. and other stuff, while both struggle with inner problems and expectations.
Okay NOW ONTO MORE FUN TRIVIA:
- Shrike has more squid-like abilities and can camouflage into his surroundings
- Shrikes pupils change depending on what color ability is triggered (this also includes the color of the crystal)
- Shrike calls Bulldog โBeeโ because he constantly saw him around flowers/tending to them
- Shrikes crystal inventory is larger, but also stuffed with Terran trinkets and small technology (cameras, mp3s, etc.)
- Bee is lowkey horrified of Shrike, considering the implications of his existence and his constant defiance of authority
- Bee is too polite, feeling guilty for even existing; Shrike is trying to get him out of that mindset
- Species created by Green before the Cataclysm are stuck deep in the quarantine zone and are immune to the corruption because green doesnโt attack green (so they are the only ones fine)
- Plague walkers work as actual plague walkers, where they spread green across the galaxy; Shrike is amazed by these guys and tries to get a picture with them (something always gets into the way of doing so)
- Tezzoree is dead (and its Shrikes fault) (rip)
