“When the last tree has fallen, and the rivers are poisoned, you cannot eat money.”
Graffiti found in amphitheater in Menomonie, Wisconsin
Originally:
"When the last tree is cut, the last fish is caught, and the last river is polluted; when to breathe the air is sickening, you will realize, too late, that wealth is not in bank accounts and that you can’t eat money."
—Alanis Obomsawin, an Abenaki from the Odanak reserve, seventy odd miles northeast of Montreal

The babies are learning how to live life, and it is always fun to see them exploring things up close. The Blue Jays are especially curious, as you can see here. I also added a baby Redbellied Woodpecker and a baby Cardi here, and a night visitor.

Vincent van Gogh - "Landscape at Sunset" (April 1885)
The garden has flowers and berries available for everyone but the grape jelly feeder is also still very busy. There are mostly young and feisty Orioles, some Grosbeaks, Cardinals and woodpeckers. If you put jelly out, make sure to go as natural as you can and keep the feeder clean and check on it during the day. Now as the season progresses, yellow jackets and hornets will soon start to show up, thankfully usually when the other jelly eaters start to migrate. Be safe and enjoy the show 🙂

“Death standing in a churchyard”
after Robert Seymour (1798–1836)
Every day I am looking forward to seeing what the cams captured, and this one is currently one of my favorites. I was hoping to see some baby bird action there and was not disappointed. Here is a merry round of young explorers on the tree. (Mostly Blue Jays but also a Grosbeak, a Cardinal, a Redwinged Blackbird, an Oriole and some fuzzy guys.) I recommend to unmute.
