Thor Dagdason

New oc who's both a noble lady and a knight. Her name is Anne.

She started as my Dark Souls 2 character, but now I'm contemplating putting her in every game I play because I grew attached.

Thor of Dawnstar, known to quite a few as the Lord of Odhundaal Hold, shows up to the gala rather late but nevertheless adequately prepared. Being born under the sign of The Lord, he found it fitting to wear ceremonial armour and a cape to the event. Currently, he is looking around to see if there's familiar faces here or perhaps potential new friends. Serana, his dear wife and Lady of Odhundaal, could not come with him unfortunately, as she is currently attending a seminar at the College of Winterhold about the ancient art of Thaumaturgy.

Idun is a highly succesful bard in the acolyte-of-jhunal incarnation of Tamriel and also the older sister of my other OC Astrid. All her lore can be found in detail on Toyhouse, but here's a cliffsnotes version of what her deal is:

She was born to Jordis Silver-Blood - a different OC of mine who will get her own intro post at some point - and Sibbi Black-Briar in Riften. Jordis was forced into this wack ass marriage by her parents to strengthen relations between the two families. She escaped this arrangement by putting a paralysis poison in Sibbi's food one night and fled with Idun through the Velothi Mountains into Morrowind, where they undertook a whole journey by land and by boat to ultimately arrive in Winterhold. There, Jordis studied Alteration magic so she could change both her own and Idun's appearances, as to make them less recogniseable in Skyrim. Mainly Idun's hair was changed to be blonde and she was given freckles.

Eventually, Idun and her mom made it to Falkreath, where they met a man named Fabian (yet another one of my OC's and also my LDB Thor's best friend). Fabian would go on to fall in love with and marry Jordis, which then led to him adopting Idun. At this point they took on Fabian's surname - Flavonius - and thus Idun became Idun Flavonia. Later on, Idun would get a little sister in the form of Astrid.

During the late 4E190's, Idun studied at the Bards College of Solitude because she'd shown great musical talent prior. It is here that she'd invent a new style of music that is based on Redguard and ancient Dwemer music. To you and me, the reader and writer, it's basically heavy metal ported over into The Elder Scrolls. In-universe, this genre would become known as Zaanlovaas ("Yell-Music"), a term coined by my LDB.

Idun's Zaanlovaas really took off when she and Astrid made the Electric Dwemer Guitar, a mystical device capable of producing loud, distorted and abrasive sounds. Guitar in hand, Idun would go on to gather other bards from around Skyrim. Karita from Dawnstar lended her talents as a singer and would assume the duty of playing the Electric Dwemer Bass, Lynly Star-sung would go on to perform percussion and supporting vocals and Lurbuk from Morthal would become a supporting guitarist and provide harsh vocals and traditional Orcish throat-singing. Together, these bards would become The Resonators, the first metal band of Tamriel.

Those who read my review of Daggerfall that I made back in March will recognise Kataarinna as the character I played as in my playthrough. She is now also the actual Agent in my AU!

I wrote a good bunch of lore for her on my Toyhouse, but here's some important notes about Kataarinna and what she gets up to:

As the iconography on her tabard implies, she's a devout Zenithar worshipper. Though Zenithar is primarily known as the god of commerce, Kataarinna puts heavy emphasis on the aspects of fairness and honest, non-exploitative work.

Even if the Warp in the West rewrites history in the end, Kataarinna has vivid memories of specifically giving the Totem of Tiber Septim to Gortwog. This in combination with her continuing to help the Orsimer post-Warp has granted her the reputation of Blood-Kin.

In the Fourth Era, Kataarinna works for the Thalmor after seeing them be the only thing that stood between her homeland the hordes of Mehrunes Dagon. She agreed with the Thalmor's anti-Empire stance, but as the years advanced Kataarinna began to see the Thalmor for what they actually were: a failed group of revolutionaries who had fallen for the siren song of brutal imperialism.

THE POINT OF A DEFENSE ATTORNEY ISN'T TO GET THEIR CLIENT OFF. IT'S TO MAKE THE STATE PROVE THEIR CASE AND DO THEIR DUE DILIGENCE.

IT'S TO PROVIDE A CHECK ON THE POWER OF THE STATE TO JUST THROW PEOPLE IN JAIL.
