In addition to that, there is no remotely safe way for him to transition while he has any contact with his family. In order to even begin gender therapy or start the HRT process, he’ll need to cut all ties with his family and restart everything. As of right now, there is no way for him to access physical or mental healthcare (which he has not had in several years, if not a decade) unless he pays out of pocket.
