I love that you call Frank a teenager but not Hazel, who is also a teenager. Like is it necessarily a great idea to date a 16 year old at 13 no but it happens. There’s nothing wrong with putting that in a fictional book about teens fighting monsters

you develop so much in those 3 years…socially, emotionally, physically…it’s just weird in general and especially weird to idealize a relationship like that. yes, at 13 you’re technically a “teenager”, but you’re still a child with child-like tendencies.
