This is misogyny

This is infantilization of minors, in this case girls, misogyny, purity culture and it completely leaves the child at more risk of being victim of sexual abuse and not knowing how to explain it. It's child endangerement and adultism.

The US Government is currently trying to pass an incredibly dangerous national law for trans youth called HR 2616.

This bill would ban all Federally funded schools from teaching about gender identity or sexual orientation, prevent teachers from using the correct pronouns and names for trans students, remove books with any trans representation in them, and even go as far as to prevent teachers from acknowledging trans identity AT ALL.

Any school that does not follow this will lose all federal funding. This bill would also require teachers to forcibly out trans students to their families, which would be fatal to any trans student with a transphobic Family or just hateful family in general. Trans people are already a group that already has some of the highest rates of being victim to suicide, domestic violence, and sexual assault.

This bill actively makes teachers put those innocent children at such a big risk. This bill has rapidly passed the house this week with support from all 209 republicans, as well as 8 democrats. But, it's still being voted on in the senate, which means there is still time to help stop this.

To help stop this, you can visit 5calls.org (look up 2616 in the search bar), one of the most top issues filed Oppose Attacks on LGBTQ+ Students. Once you put in your general location, it will pull-up contact information for your senator, and give you a script for calling them.

Lots of them are younger teens.

I didn’t know what ovulation was until I was 17 because I was extremely nauseous and my mom said I could be ovulating and my parents were the ones that properly explained what menstruation was because my school didn’t do a very good job.

This is probably also misogyny because male nipples are shown in children's and preschool shows and nobody says anything.

I was adopted when I was 6, my bio mom was a child bride to a (mentally)disabled man. He got her pregnant twice while she was 16 and 17. My adoptive mother is my biological aunt on my mom's side. She keeps saying how it's okay for him to have done that because(literally quoting her) 'he was slow! He was mentally her age.'

He was not disabled in the way that he was mentally younger, he was literally just an autistic man. I feel like she's infantalizing him to make it 'okay' that I was conceived that way.

She always talked about how my mother was so horrible and toxic because she had borderline personality disorder, schizophrenia, and a major addiction to herion.

Sorry if this comes off as super vent-ish. I'm just genuinely so pissed off

Like just because a guy is feminine doesn't mean his weak because being feminine doesn't have to do anything on how strong or smart you are. With girls too a feminine girl, ain't weak
