whenever i look up βnutritious meal inspoβ the two types of things that pop up are generally
a) two slices of cucumber on a plain rice cake, one singular almond, and three raspberries. wow! so healthy! because <70 calories per meal is definitely sufficient for an active lifestyle! (/sarcasm)
b) 1700 calorie per serving protein lasagna for gym bros who somehow actually want to eat something that contains 400 grams of protein, zero vegetables, sounds extremely unappetizing if i do say so myself, only appealing to people who could lift four times my bodyweight and eat one meal a day in their barely disguised eating disorder which they have succinctly named βcuttingβ

hi everyone i have a religious question specifically for christians or people who are well-versed in christian theology
this is from curiosity, i donβt intend to be offensive
how come some christians cite the bible as a reason to be against gay relationships (that one leviticus line), but donβt similarly condemn many other things which are prohibited by the old testament (ie eating shellfish, lobster, oysters (leviticus 11:10))?
again, not intended to be an accusation, just a genuine question as to what the justification here is
(I'm an atheist but grew up catholic -which isn't the same as christian but I often find the people who follow beliefs like this similar in either religion so i'm still gonna give input- and this is my understanding)
There's this thing in -at least catholic- religion about following the "letter of the law" vs. the "the spirit of the law" (the letter being taken literally and without question, the spirit being applying judgment and taking it the way God intends)
So like a lot of stuff in the bible is meant as a story to teach a lesson or get a point across, but instead people take it at face value and end up following "rules" that aren't actually loving or considerate, but it's what they have interpreted God wants for them (and often this comes from the teachings of a pastor or person they know, not from their own thinking about what the right and wrongness of it is).
I think about that dream I had about The Outsiders Animated Movie that doesn't exist, that merged the movie and musical together in a way that included characters and musical costumes, ALL THE TIME
