If your post is gonna be negative, please use the "anti" tag
What is an "anti" tag ?
The "anti" tag is the usual tag with "anti" in front of it. With Emmerdale, it would simply be "anti emmerdale".
Tagging something with the general tag does not mean you adore the thing and do not find fault in it. The same goes for the anti tag. Using it does not mean you entirely hate it and want to see it gone. It is only a way to properly tag content so that the right people will find it.
Why use it?
It will make the fandom experience so much better!
If you like a show or character or ship, you don't go to their tag to find hate. You go there to find funny posts, fanarts, gifsets, meta posts, and some generally positive opinions.
This is old fandom etiquette and I get that not everyone knows about it so I'm sharing it in hopes of having a better experience in the overall Emmerdale tags.
We can post negativity about characters or storylines or a whole show, feel free to! But please be mindful of other people on this website. For some, if not a lot of us, we'd like to have a fun time in the tags.
Another reason is that the anti tags exist so that you have your own space too! You can find like minded people, so you don't feel so alone in your struggle with a character or storyline. When you go to the general tag and everyone is having fun? Not necessarily a fun moment for you. But going to the anti tag will take you to a place where you might find your opinion already expressed and rejoice in finally finding someone who's seen the same thing you have.
