Sugarcoating oppression is easier to do. Revolutionary feminist politics is not possible without, as Andrea Dworkin would say, "an agony to be fully conscious of the brutal misogyny."
been thinking about how if you deny that what happened/happens is painful that no one deserves, you also donât let yourself be angry about it and so you also deny your humanity or of the people suffering
âIt was witches who developed an extensive understanding of bones and muscles, herbs and drugs, while physicians were still deriving their prognoses from astrology and alchemists were trying to turn lead into gold. So great was the witchesâ knowledge that in 1527, Paracelsus, considered the âfather of modern medicine,â burned his text on pharmaceuticals, confessing that he âhad learned from the Sorceress all he knew.ââ

More and more things credited to men turn out to be the creation of women.

iâm just tryna have a nice time despite knowing facts and information
a surprising number of people see the term "social construct" and think that it means something is not real when it actually means something is so very real because it was created by us and is constantly enforced, often violently
you ever think about how the world has 'too many people' because men created a system of abusing nature to maximize primitive resource accumulation and need to keep women in sexual slavery to birth enough babies to keep the current accumulation going?
and how any time women are given greater freedom to choose, birth rates across the population fall to replacement level? which is inherently sustainable?
and in some places, birth rates are falling BELOW replacement level, which is even MORE sustainable considering the outsized resource use of people in the same places????
and how we are part of a system, and even when we aren't trying, we act in a way that balances it??? how it is men who are the problem!!??
idkkkk it just kinda seems so obvious that when we refuse to birth 12 children, we are threatening the foundation of patriarchy and capitalism by creating a sustainable future. and the fact of that should be enough to snap any woman out of blindly supporting men.
Women are fed up with this traditionalist societyâs impossible expectations of mothers.
Korean feminists and everyday women are refusing/not wanting to have children in an increasingly sexist and anti-female society. 4B movement is very admirable.

Girl Pictures by Justine Kurland
Radblr constantly talks about how woman should raise boys right and teach them to respect women.
Radblr also talks constantly about how women should support and work with other women.
But I never see radblr talking about how women should uplift, encourage, and support girls đ¤
Girls are the most vulnerable group of people on earth, and also the most powerful force of social change.
Millenial girls grew up to embrace liberal choice feminism and spread it through pop culture. Where was radical feminism during 1995-2010 when millenial women were just girls? What were radical feminists doing when we were all playing with bratz dolls and watching totally spies? Iâll always have nostalgia about the 00s pop culture I grew up with. But, that culture was the breeding ground for the choice feminism self exploitation hell we live in now. Spice Girls, Cheetah Girls, Destinyâs Child, Pussycat Dolls and Britney Spears were all marketed to millennial girls age 6-10. How is there any doubt about why millenial women are teaching gen-z girls to exploit themselves? Itâs tempting to think of libfems as malicious narcissists or shallow idiots, but they arenât. They were girls groomed for âsex positivityâ through 00s pop culture. They were girls radical feminists failed.Â
Radical feminism is always defined and organized around the root of subjugation women faceâsex and reproduction.
Why not organize radical feminism around the root of female future, power, and successâgirls?
Feminism is called a womenâs movement. Occasionally, itâs referred to as a movement for women and girls. I think prioritizing women over girls in our concept of feminism is one of the greatest mistakes feminists ever made.
Feminism should be a movement for girls, supported by women.Â
If you are 20+, you are no longer, by any stretch of the imagination, a girl. I know girlhood is hell. I know it leaves us scarred and wounded. I know we feel the universe cheated us out of a girlhood brimming with carefree adventure and exploration. But it wasnât the universe cheating us. It was adult women failing us. Adult women who were too focused on the damage their own girlhood did to them. This cycle of girlhood trauma has left womenâs movements chasing their own tails for a century.
Patriarchy is passed through generations by men socializing boys and women socializing girls. If men are initiating boys into the fraternity of sexual subjugators, women are initiating girls into the sorority of victimhood. Radical feminism was built within that sorority, and it shows.Â
All feminist writing Iâve read delineates womenâs historical trauma and ties it to the subjugation of women in contemporary society. Through feminism, we find other women and discuss our shared past traumas with each other. In the internet age, we do this on a personal level through blogs and forums, or on a societal level through hashtags like #metoo and #yesallwomen. Feminist discourse builds up to a model of womenâs universal suffering. And through that we identify males as the bastards behind it all. Radical feminism calls class recognition through shared trauma âconsciousness raisingâ. They cite consciousness raising and solidarity between women as the greatest sources of female power. In other words, radical feminism elevates the sorority of victimhood as the key to female liberation.Â
But the more I piece this out, the more it looks like a damn crab trap. The shared trauma, the model of womenâs universal suffering, it only leads us to perpetuate our subjugation. Thereâs comfort in thinking what happened to you happened because youâre a woman. Thereâs comfort in seeing traumatic events as predestined. But predestination is the oldest crab trap in the book. Through predestination, we see victimhood as a right of passage and a key to wisdom. We overlook naive girls until theyâve been victimized enough to trauma bond with women.Â
Iâm not saying we should throw out radical feminism and start from scratch. Women coming to terms with trauma is a step towards female liberation, but itâs a step that will take a lifetime. That, unfortunately, is the nature of trauma and PTSD. There is no way to resolve past trauma. You can read all the feminist discourse ever written, and you may find some comfort in it, but the trauma will not heal.Â
I know a lot of us take comfort in that catchphrase about women not being responsible for our own oppression. We need to start recognizing this as a thought terminating cliche and blackpill feminist idea. Saying we have no hand in our own oppression means womenâs liberation depends entirely on men. This, of course, renders womenâs liberation impossible.
If weâre looking for more than comfort, weâre going to need more than radical feminism is currently offering. If weâre looking for liberation, we must do the most uncomfortable thing possible. We must dismantle the victimhood sorority. We need to stop saying our trauma happened because we are women. We need to stop being complicit in patriarchy by holding up victimhood as a right of passage to womanhood.
Women do not have to suffer. Women do not have to be victimized. Girlhood does not have to be characterized by neglect. If we use all the power of womenâs class solidarity to protect and celebrate girls, we will escape the cycle we are in. We need to stop prioritizing the lives of women over the lives of girls. We need to make girlsâ liberation the primary goal of feminism, even if we have to sacrifice personal freedoms to do so. That is the true right of passage. Being an adult doesnât mean perpetuating the past into the present. It means passing up on your needs in the present to secure a better future for the next generation.Â
Your inner girl will never heal until you become the woman that shouldâve been there protecting you as a girl. So, become that women, and do everything in your power to lift up girls. Do everything in your power to give them the carefree adventurous girlhood you were denied. Donât do it because theyâre your daughters or surrogate daughters. Do it because theyâre the future, and they are more important than we are.
I agree with some of this, but Iâm curious about what you mean specifically when you say âWe need to make girlsâ liberation the primary goal of feminism, even if we have to sacrifice personal freedoms to do so.â What would some examples of this sacrifice be?
I donât see where the goals of womenâs liberation and girlâs liberation conflict
In the context of that paragraph, Iâm talking about women making sacrifices to help girls.
For example, some pro female athletes spend all their time training, working with media and sponsors, focused on their own career. Other pro female athletes sacrifice their time off to travel to schools and camps to work with girls.
Itâs easy to say âwomen should have the freedom to choose whether or not to help girls.â But thatâs classic choice feminism. What does it look like when there is no choice? USA Womenâs Basketball requires senior national team members to commit to mentoring girls. If they donât go to camps and mentor girls, they get kicked off the team. With only 1 loss in 3 decades, USA Womenâs Basketball is the most successful national team in any team sport, male or female. Thatâs the power of mentorship.
The point of my post is not that womenâs and girlsâ liberation are in conflict. Womenâs issues are important. Girls issues are important. And girls, female humans age 0-19, are the demographic that should be prioritized. But, not because young people are more worthy humans than old people. They should be prioritized because itâs extremely strategic. A girl-centered movement is more effective than a woman-centered movement. A movement for girls supported by women is better than a movement for women that girls find confusing.
There is one area where womenâs and girlsâ rights are in conflict. Child rights vs. parental rights. Girls should have more power to make their own health, education, religion, and housing decisions. Daughtersâ welfare should be prioritized over mothersâ welfare in domestic disputes and conflicts. The girl with behavior issues who screams and shoves her mom? Donât side with the mom in that situation. Figure out what is going wrong in the household and help the girl.
I have no empathy for women who neglect or abuse girls in response to patriarchy. Every woman is contending with patriarchy. Most women are dealing with their own traumas. But guess what? Most of them donât neglect and abuse girls. The ones that do should not be forgiven. They should have to live their lives contemplating the repercussions of their actions.
Feminism should laser focus on how women traumatize girls by passing on patriarchal and homophobic socialization. That is the key to liberation. Thatâs the thermal exhaust port in the patriarchy death star. Break that link and patriarchy falls apart.
Girls are vital and I donât see them represented enough in feminist discussions. A handful of stuff about girls in a sea of stuff about women? Thatâs not good enough. Girls should be the main topic.
Of all my posts, this is the one that people have the hardest time with. I think thatâs because most of us are adult women. Itâs tough to conceptualize a movement that doesnât center us.
But, the minute your intentions become about helping someone else, it gets so much easier to act. The minute you realize âwait I can actually do something to help girlsâ? Then youâre getting off tumblr and teaching a girlsâ art workshop. Or spending time with your niece. Or coaching a girlsâ kickball team. Or writing the YA novel you wish existed when you were a girl. It can be as simple as that or as complex as managing a global aid organization for girls. Everything counts. Everything makes an impact.
We are bonsai women.
The girls? They can be a redwood forest.
This is a turning point post. This is seriously what feminism should be about. I have no idea why feminism doesn't focus on young girls as much as it should. Adult women don't like being infantilized and chastized by feminism, as any adult wouldn't. I'd even say that most adult women are not oppressed since they have the power to make their own decisions, however they use it, or not. But littel girls are also being infantilized, chastized and socialized into male worship all the time, and feminists should be there to tell them that they matter, their dreams and inspirations matter. I also think that the reason girls long for a fairy tale is because adults fail them, and seeing how prince charming saves the girl in the story, they expect to be saved by one too. But in reality they just need adults who shows them a little kindness and consideration for who they really are. Encourage their dreams, support them in fulfilling their potential, and let them be human. Teach them that be it school or life, it is also about learning, and not performing. Be the adult you needed when you were younger. Don't let radical feminism or any ideology make you too comfortable and wallow in the idea of being oppressed and powerless. You are now the adult in your life, YOU HAVE THE FREEDOM!!! â bring justice your younger self! Try your best in whatever you do, excercise that muscle of going outside your comfort zone. I seriously believe girls are a revolutionary force, the future, they only need a little encouragement. Do it for them. Do it for your younger self.
Addiction is a progressive narrowing of the things that bring you pleasure. A good life is a progressive expansion of the things that bring you pleasure. Btw
Part of accepting yourself completely is reframing your mind to make it about you, so that âwill they like me?â turns into âwill I like them?â and âdid they like what I said?â turns into âdid I say everything I wanted to say?â Everything you do should ultimately be brought on by what you think is important and by what you want. Not by what you think will be most accepted or most liked.

Genuinely... @ all the radfem/gender critical people who are concerned about protecting female single-sex sports competition.
You want to help women's sports, right? And there's a few hundred thousand of you across all social media platforms. That's a pretty big number.
Guess what? I have great news. There's actually an extremely effective way for you to protect women's sports competition. And it's extremely easy.
Choose a favorite pro women's sports team.
That's it! That's all it takes. Pick a favorite team. Any sport. Any pro league. Take an extra step beyond supporting your national team and pick a favorite professional team. There are hundreds of women's pro sport teams. So it shouldn't be hard to find one you like. You don't even have to be interested in sports to do this. Maybe you like the star player because she's fun to follow outside of her athletic career. That's fine. Just pick her team then.
So once you pick your team, find out how many games they play in a season. If they play 40 games, you need to at least watch 20. Since this is your favorite team, it's reasonable that you would watch at least half the games, right? And feel free to post about the team, too. Enjoy all the trials and tribulations and fan content that they produce for you throughout the season.
Men's sports is based on the whims of billionaire investors. So men's sport leagues are whatever billionaire investors want them to be.
Women's sports is based on fans. So women's sports leagues are whatever fans want them to be.
Right now, the women's sports fanbase wants trans-inclusive leagues. So, female athletes, who are 100% financially reliant on fans, have no choice but to go along with it. The trans-inclusive queer+++ community makes up most of the women's sports fan market.
That's right. The kids with 8 different neo pronouns are doing a better job than you are. They're doing a way better job showing up for professional female athletes. Ultimately, their ideas are backwards and terrible for women's sports. But that doesn't really matter. Fans come first.
If you actually cared about fair female sports competition, you would join the fanbase. You would show female athletes that they have gender critical fans who will support them. If you don't even attempt to balance out the fanbase, nothing else that you do or say even matters. Your input on women's sports has zero impact if you're not a fan with a favorite team.
This is actually so terrifying! We need female gangs. Whether you admit it or not, every time you see these things you will think twice for a second longer before correcting a man, making a joke about him, or standing up for yourself. Trauma can be vicarious. When you go through this world and see so many threats and violent acts specifically towards people with your body (you!!) it affects you. Try to find ways to push back against that and heal. Sit in your car and yell! Read scum manifesto and give yourself permission for thought crimes. Punch a punching bag. Don't internalize this anxiety! That is exactly their goal. And please send kind words to other women experiencing this harassment. Female solidarity is self love.
Love how the evil radfems are so unhinged for #KillAllMen but these guys make these tweets with actionable threats with their full names attached, in public, and it just gets dismissed as ~edgy humor~. And to top it all off, when you look at the statistics, the vast majority of murders are committed by men.
Hey MRAs, are words the same thing as violence or not?
