âyouâve got to have at least a tiny bit of brain in there to be able to crack wise jokes,â he shrugs, taking a sip from his drink. tejay was glad thalia was able to hold a conversation that didnât result in either talking about the stick up his ass, yelling at him for political reasons, or trying to lead him into shenanigans. when she asks if he was hitting on her, it catches him off guard. he definitely didnât mean to hit on her, heâs just a curious person, but he can totally see how it came off that way. âiâm just wondering about it. i donât think iâve heard a significant other come up in your shows at sparkyâs,â he laughs it off, listening to her explanation of the missing dad. âwhereâd he go? men canât just disappear into thin air, right? or, is that too personal for you after knowing me for a total sum of twenty minutes,â he tries to recall the length of their last conversation and he figures it was short enough that they really donât know each other. âdo you have the battle scars to prove it?â he quips, looking back down at lucy. âlook at her, she seems harmless, arenât you little lady?â he asks, watching as lucy nods her head. âhow old are you? because iâm planning to wait until at least thirty-five to start considering any kids. iâd also need someone to have a kid with first.â
âitâs certainly at least the size of a walnut, so i think i can survive,â she says, with a determined nod. tejay, if anything, is someone who can at least keep up with her, and she certainly appreciates that. she doesnât do a lot of judging-- to each their own lives, she thinks-- but sheâs heard whispers of the city manager. frankly, she doesnât care either way. ârelax, i wouldnât faulted you if you were, iâm aware iâm a very sexy individual,â she jokes, shoving a hand into her pocket. âi try to keep people iâm presently involved with out of my sets. most of âem arenât too keen about being made into jokes.â also, sheâs currently not involved with anyone, but not the point. she opens her mouth to say something, but closes it abruptly, groaning a bit. âyeah-- well. about that, ha, i donât, uh, know who he is,â she admits, feeling suddenly sheepish. âit was a halloween party. and one thing led to another, and then boom, a baby. so really, unless sheâs half goblin, which i sincerely doubt, we just continue to label him as unknown.â lucy, still peering out from behind thaliaâs leg, hugs thalia tightly. âdonât let the sweet face fool you,â she teases. âsheâs ruthless.â thalia shrugs. âthirty two, but, like, i dunno, i never thought i was having kids, but some things just canât be planned, yeah?â
