I cannot tell you what it meant to me to go into Supergirl and see a woman getting to be angry and fucked up on screen and see her WIN. To see her be RIGHT. To see her be Angry and Fucked Up and Not Always Nice but to still be GOOD. I was crying watching it. She's angry, but that doesn't mean she's wrong - Kara and Ruthye both have every right to be angry! - but their anger... doesn't make them bad people. It makes them do something about it.
As a woman who's been told my whole life that I'm too angry, that I need to be nicer, that I'm too bitter and fucked up.... Yeah I needed that.
