Tapping Jar

I don’t know if this is a legit thing but the idea of noise has always intrigued me when it comes to spells and cleansing. My husband and I both carry bells in our cars to negate negative energy as we drive (we also tap them when ambulances and fire trucks pass by).

So when trying to create a spell for my husband and I to help aid us in saving money for our move to the west coast next year I thought a spell that can easily be re-charged/re-activated would work best for us. So I came up with the idea of a tapping jar.

My tapping jar, is filled like a normal witch’s jar with herbs, spices, salt, stones etc. What makes it different is that instead of it being left somewhere, I wanted something that I can reactivate to help keep my hunny’s mind at ease that it is indeed working. So the spell part of it involves tapping the jar trice, each tap representing part of the spell. So I present…

The WitchingStarr’s Money, Fortune, Wealth Tapping Jar

Find a small but decent sized glass jar with a lid or cork. Take five coins and put a small drop of honey on each and stick them to the inside wall of the jar along the bottom. (Good luck. This part was a pain in the butt) “you have to spend money to make money” as they say.

Layer Mint (attracts money) Ginger (attracts success) *dried or ground* Bayleaf (for good fortune) *you can also write a specific amount you need on the leaf* and I like to add heat to my spells because I need a fire in my belly to keep me going so i do the same for my spells. Clove- (belly fire)

You can layer these however they fit to you. We layered them in beat with the spell (below).

Top the jar with its lid or cork, I try to wax-seal my stuff because I have cats and carpet and I’m renting…

For the spell part you can use your finger, or if you really wanna be fancy a silver spoon or a branch of an oak tree (as they represent great fortune). Whatever noise you can make on the glass that ‘rings your bell’ (har har)

With each word tap the glass.

Place this tapping jar where you will pass it as often as you like, when you feel like the spell is struggling refocus your intent and tap the glass three times again.

*please note, a lot of spells are good and done with simply making them and putting your energy in them and leaving them be, I created the tapping jar because my husband is the kind of witch that doubts his power after the initial casting of the spell. So this spell is the kind to reaffirm the spells strength and to give peace of mind to the caster.

Not only did I pay off one of my five student loans this morning….

But I also get to announce THE TAPPING JAR SPELL WORKED!!!

I got a letter in the mail today saying I had property that was about to be transferred to the state if I didn’t claim it..I thought it might be a scam and went thru all the phone calls to sort it out to see if it was legit or not..

Turns out I had a refund from a student grant I received back in 2011 that was refunded to a shitty student refund credit card instead of back into my account as had happened with all previous other refunds. (This was the start of the Higher One cards) At the end of that term I’d transferred to the University and basically forgot all unfinished business at the community college. 

WHICH WAS A SUPER HELPFUL FUCK UP!

Because I just got $3k to put towards my loans and I GET TO PAY OFF MY OTHER HIGH INTEREST RATE LOAN!!! 

Which puts me at getting my student loans to juuusstt above the half way mark! I’m half way there to getting rid of these shitty things~!!!

At the rate I’ve been going I’M GOING TO HAVE MY LOANS PAID OFF BETWEEN AUGUST AND NOVEMBER OF NEXT YEAR!!

I’ve never been so grateful for stupid younger me, and so pleased with a spell’s results. Not only did I receive this amazing spur of funds, I’ve had plenty of OT hours at work right now and several more hours of OT coming up next month to supplement my normal paycheck. Hopefully to help pay off my loans and save for our western move.

it’s like a more delicate version of apple cider and i basically live off of this stuff when the weather starts to cool!

Apple Tea (for two)

1 large apple or 2 small, shredded (you can use a cheese grater)

3 cups water

1-2 cinnamon sticks

2-3 pc clove (optional)

honey to taste

1 tsp of lemon juice (add at end)

green tea (optional! the lebanese version usually calls for green tea but i actually prefer it without. up to you!)

throw it all in a pot and let it simmer on a low temperature for an hour or so. while it’s simmering, it will also make your home smell delicious! (if you make it with green tea, add the tea at the end, about five minutes before taking it off the heat so the flavor doesn’t become bitter from oversteeping). strain into your cups and enjoy hot.

I’ve never seen this name— granted, I’m not actively hunting books either. But heads up.

Basically, I gave her my recipe for my vegetarian sweet potato and zucchini lasagne, and she tried to recreate it. Even though she followed the recipe, it ended up tasting completely different. So I invited her over for dinner the next time I was going to make it, so she could make it with me and see my process.

What followed was a rather eye-opening and comedic series of events where I would add an ingredient, stir something a certain way, or, as she said, "start mumbling spells over the sauce". After which, she would point it out, ask why I did what I did, and its intended purpose. The recipe card I gave her mentioned none of this. It was purely a list of ingredients and a mundane method.

She got particularly pissed when I said she had to add salt and stir the cream sauce until "It feels right."

Spells that are posted online are very much the same. It's impossible to outline exactly how it should feel, smell, or taste when everyone experiences their craft differently.

Long story short, my sister, who doesn't practice witchcraft, now knows how to make a witchy vegetarian lasagne, and while it will be very similar to mine, it will never be exactly the same.
