Red lustre tiles in the entrance to The Russell-Cotes Museum #Bournemouth. A clear red was one of the hardest glaze colours to achieve so using copper lustre was an effective means of going red. Russell-Cotes seemed to favour a red and green scheme in his house. The local firm of Carter's did produce red lustre tiles but these are by Maw and Co.
