I think I must tell the tale of Prawo Jazdy
BBC News - The mystery of Ireland's worst driver
You can read the article if you like, but the long and short of it is this:
In the earlyish 2000nds Irish police kept pulling over truly dreadful drivers, and when asked for their drivers licence, they all appeared to have the same name: Prawo Jazdy.
And in it went to the database, but mysteries remained: why does this man of mystery have over fifty identities? And the culprit seemed to give a different address each time.
Yeaahhh turns out “Prawo Jazdy” is just Polish for driver’s license, and while Irish driver’s licenses say “driver’s license” on the first line THEN the owner’s name, it’s flipped on Polish licenses.
So Prawo Jazdy was not a mastermind in the field of poor driving, they were just a bunch of different Polish people who when asked “is this your name?” Were like “surrreee.”
