The small brass bot stands in front of him, eyes welled with slick, oily, black tears. She hasn't seen him in ages and of course when she does she's in a condition like this. Recently all she had wanted was to be human, to have a family again. An actual, human family. Luckily her uncle could be of help if she gave 'em the ol' puppy dog eyes...
Gorey was swirling green smoke around in his fingers and when he sees the feet of his baby girl his eyes widen. The smoke dissipates and he frowns, looking up at her face. He strides forward, pulls a small cloth from his pocket and sighs. “Sweetheart, are you alright?” He dabs the cloth under her eyes and cleans away the oil from her brass cheeks. “Talk to me, you can tell me what’s wrong.” He wraps his arms around her.
As much as she would’ve loved to say yes, which was her usual answer, she softly shook her head and looked up as he wiped her eyes.
“I-I-I’ve just been t-t-thinkin’ a lot.. Paps.. A-And.. I uh… K-Know it’s asking a lot… But.. I-I w-w-w-was wondering if you c-could uh.. Turn me into a-a human for a bit… Not long but.. J-just enough time to get used to things and wake up the next morning and not have those human feels anymore.”
Burying her face into his chest when he hugged her, she rubbed at the fabric of his shirt between two fingers, something she was fond of doing with her own handkerchief, but that had been misplaced.
“C-Could ya?… Please..?”
Gorey opened his mouth, but no words came out. He huffed and bit his lip. He doesn’t know how to tell her the issue with that. “Ticci I-”
His heart dropped and he sighed, shaking his head. He just rubbed her back for a bit to think on it, as long as he could. The back of her dress is soft and that returned the smile back to his face. Green smoke circled around him and he opened his eyes, turning the dark brown, almost black eyes he usually has, to bright green orbs.
He smiled a wide green and laughed, it echoing a bit eerily.
“You know what? I can’t say no to that face.”
