does your medieval skin have a dark mode? i saw it and thought it looked so cool but my eyes cant handle white backgrounds when i'm reading on a screen :(
Nope. I didn't even think of making a dark version, tbh, because I was basing it on medieval parchments.
If anyone out there wants to take my code and run with it, they're welcome to create a dark mode version though!
I know it's probably a poor consolation, but I do have other dark mode skins posted on my github.

I'll do you both one better. in my experience, dark reader can be a little unreliable. sometimes things arent visible or it can only turn certain sections darker. OP, you said you didn't think of making a dark mode since it was based on parchment? I took that as a challenge.
I've fiddled with the code in order to give the skin a dark mode theme while keeping the parchment background texture, as well as changed some of the contrasting colors so it works better with the dark theme.
there are only two bit i haven't been able to fully work out, those being the dashboard display and the banners containing usernames in comment sections, but the rest is all good as far as I can tell. could I fix the last bits? yeah, but I've been working on this for like six hours and i'm tired. its 2 am. this is what yall are gettin from me.

Funny thing about reading melangdon fics is that Frank’s first child would always be named Tanner (canon) but his second child’s name would always be different. The closest that I think would be the second born’s name would be Millie. It has the vibes from Frank and Abby.
imagine season 2 where there’s a tough case where they lost a guy from a drug overdose, and frank is kind of just frozen in place. and mel would calmly say his name, snapping him out of it, followed by him running out of the room.
minutes later, mel finds frank on the break room floor, and she goes to sit down next to him, paralleling themselves from 10 months prior. after a moment, mel says “are you okay?” frank responds honestly, saying “how am i supposed to work in an ED if i’m just gonna panic every-time someone comes in with a drug related problem?” a moment of silence, then mel says “someone once told me that we need more sensitive people here.” and frank turns his head to look at mel, her eyes already on him. then mel says, “i need you.” and after a few seconds of eye contact, mel makes a joke about his reputation, franks face falling, because he thinks she’s serious. then she looks down, trying to fight a smile, and says “joking”. frank laughs, then knocks his knee into hers. she returns the gesture, but leaves her leg pressed against his.

I was rewatching The Pitt (either episode 9 or 10, I’m not sure) and it was when McKay and Robby were arguing about how she called the cops on David and she said a line that really stuck out to me for reasons I couldn’t explain until now. We have to understand that that horrible day is not Robby’s “baseline”, or normal. He’s not usually snappy or rude and he never really yells. When she said to him, “I can live with this one. And now you can too” it kind of struck me that she was well aware that it’s not a normal day for Robby, and he’s much more irritable, and that she knew he would’ve went home and regretted it if he had not called the cops or intervened like Cassie had done. She knows him, she knows it would’ve ate him alive if something were to happen to those girls on the list, and she wanted to prevent that, since the cloudiness of his bad day was obstructing his view of the situation.
changed my mind i dont want kingdon to be canon until season four at the e a r l i e s t. and there's no dramatic moment or advance warning it's ep 401 and samira needs help and calls out "dr. langdon!" and on opposite sides of the room mel and frank both turn around like 🙋♀️🙋♂️! and robby shudders and mutters something like never gonna get used to that and dana looks at him over her glasses and says "dr. robinavitch, you officiated the damn wedding"
Thinking about the ambulance bay scene when Robby tells Langdon that he let this place "break" him but that's not actually what happened. Langdon was addicted to painkillers because of a genuine medical issue. He stole the pills to deal with withdrawal, not to block out what was happening in the ED, and we're even shown multiple times that Langdon is able to move between patients quickly, not linger in a patient room, not let it bother him longer than it needs because he has a family waiting for him back home, but that's what Robby values in Langdon.
He's everything as a doctor that Robby is not. That's why Robby says that Langdon is his "best resident" because he's the one who's least like him.
So when they're arguing, Robby immediately starts to project his own insecurities in anger at Langdon, including giving him one of the things he hates most about himself, that he's too affected by the ED, because that means Langdon is becoming more like Robby and thus has failed him.
you’re telling me there’s an arrogant, sarcastic doctor who immediately notices when a painfully earnest and caring doctor gets upset??? and he says “sorry, i did a fellowship in cynicism” like he can’t stand to see the sunshine fade out of her??? and i’m not supposed to think they’re made for each other????????
