   Kyoya had many questions he wanted to ask the Chesire cat. He wanted to learn more about this world and why he was dragged into here. He was sitting in the lounge when he spots someone with red hair sitting alone at a table. He decides to take the seat across from him considering there wasn’t anywhere else to sit. “Hey. You got invited too?”

“ everything will be okay, i promise. but you need to talk to me.”

“ it’s okay if you don’t want to talk about it. but it really would help if you did.”

SUSPICIOUS.

“ there is something you’re not telling me.”

“ i think you’re lying.”

“ you looked away just now when you said that. are you sure you’re telling the truth?”

“ except what you’re telling me doesn’t align with what we already know.”

“ seems to me like you know more than you’re letting in on.”

“ what aren’t you telling me?”

“ who are you trying to protect?”

“ so you really don’t know what any of it means? no clue at all?”

“ they must’ve told you more than that.”

“ you have to have seen more than that.”

“ and you want me to believe you don’t remember?”

“ and you want me to believe you had nothing to do with it?”

“ an accident? is that what you’re going with?”

DEMANDING.

“ i need you to tell me the truth.”

“ i need you to tell me what happened.”

“ i know you’re not telling me the truth.”

“ that doesn’t line up with the evidence. so… you wanna try that again?”

“ stop lying. i already know that’s not what happened.”

MAKING A DEAL / ASKING FOR HELP / DEMANDING HELP.

“ what do you want in exchange for this information?”

“ i’m listening…”

“ you’re coming with me.”

“ since you’re the only one who knows how to find them, i don’t really have a choice but to take you with me.”

“ fine. i’ll take you with me, but if you try anything…”

“ i can’t give you that. you know that.”

“ if we’re going to make a deal, you’re gonna have to ask for something a little more rational than that.”

“ okay. we have a deal.”

    Seeing Kirishima cheer for a passing score had him smirking again as he shook his head. He was glad he was able to help the red head enough to an almost perfect score, especially since it made him so damned happy. Damned joy was stupid and contagious but whatever, not like anyone was around to make stupid comments about anything going on right now.

    “Of course I’m the fucking best! But if you make stupid mistakes again I’ll beat your ass. Our goal is to get you to a perfect score on a test and we’re going to get there or else.” His smirk grew more as he crumpled the paper in his hand and activated his quick, blowing it up in his hand. 

    “A generation of hero’s like me is stupid. I get pissed at Deku for incorporating my shit into his move list and you want me to pass that on to a whole generation? Fuck that. Let future generations come up with their own crap and rise to the top by being original!” He decided to ignore his last comment for now, but mainly because even he knew that one was enough with his attitude.

    “Are we gonna go eat or what shitty hair?”

   Kirishima raised his hands defensively, laughing with a tinge of worry to his voice. His quirk hardened his arms in a thoughtless response to Bakugou’s sparking fingers, fully aware the blonde was not afraid to use the same explosion on him. “Got it! Understood! Just wait, I’ll get a score so good, even you’ll be impressed!”

   Bakugou’s attitude was always unpredictable, totally in your face. It just came with the territory of being the blond’s best friend -- he was over the top most of the time. But Kirishima would be lying if he said he didn’t have an appreciation for it. When Katsuki got angry, or aggressive, or loud, it just meant he was passionate about something. And what was the makings of a hero if it wasn’t a passion for the title? Bakugou certainly had that. 

   He had so much more going for him in terms of heroic-ness than Kirishima had. He was brave and unashamed of who he was on the inside and the out. The redhead could secretly hope that Bakugou rubbed off on him, but that would take away from his novelty, and Katsuki deserved to have that all to himself. 

    Bakugou glanced up at Kirishima after the red in his cheeks faded, glancing into his apartment and back at him. It wouldn’t hurt him too much to skip working out for the day, especially since Kirishima had gone trough all the trouble of making him the sweater. Plus, just a day to chill and spend time with him wouldn’t be all that bad. A day being just a normal teen was probably good for his health anyways, he could hear All Mights voice in his head telling him to relax now and then.

    “Yeah, sounds good. But it better not be some shitty movie or whatever.” He spoke after finally finding his voice. He crossed his arms over his chest, glancing down to what he was wearing, he should probably change out of his work out clothes before heading out.

    “Just let me get dressed, we doing this at your place or mine?”

   Kirishima stood in silence for a moment, rubbing the back of his neck with one hand. It wasn’t like he was expecting Bakugou to agree, but he did clear out his schedule for the day in case he had. He’d told Dawn he wouldn’t be able to make it to gardening club this afternoon (his only time to ever miss), and she’d been more than okay with it. Maybe even a little happy. But, Eijirou was determined to make this Bakugou’s best birthday yet, and if that meant time by himself to work himself half to death, by all might that’s exactly what Kirishima would let him do. 

   However, at the blond’s mumbled agreement, a grin broke out onto the hero’s face. “Yeah! You got it, Bakugou!” Kirishima nodded, hands forming the name they’d made for Bakugou along with his words. He needed to practice signing and talking, especially if Bakugou’s hearing loss increased, or if they were going to be hanging out with that ‘Stupid Forest Girl’, as Katsuki referred to her as.

    Bakugou raised an eyebrow at the confusion on Kirishima’s face. He knew he wasn’t dumb enough to confuse his days, or dumb enough to have confused their apartments since the red head lived a floor below him. Just what was going on with this guy.

    He was about to open his mouth and say something when his best friend finally spoke up as he pulled something from behind his back. Bakugou’s eyes widened in surprise as he looked from him to the gift, pulling out his phone and checking the calendar app. Huh, he didn’t expect anyone to remember, after all he hadn’t, but then again he should have known better with Kirishima. 

    He was speechless as he took the hoodie in his hands, unfolding it and looking at the work that he had helped put into it. It was…..it was pretty fucking bad ass. So many feelings overwhelmed, he didn’t know what to feel, his first piece of pro-hero merch, designed for him. A blush suddenly crossed his face as he threw the jacket over his elbow and began signing, unable to speak the words and not caring if Kirishima would understand.

    ‘Thank you Eijirou. I really appreciate this, more than you’ll ever understand probably.”

   Seeing any registration of shock on Bakugou’s face was a pleasant surprise. He was usually more closed off when it came to sensitive feelings, as compared to Kirishima -- who more often than not wore his emotions on his sleeves. It cause his heart to jump in his chest, and nerves instantly twisted in his stomach. Maybe he got the date wrong after all? Maybe he hated the present?

   But the subtle pink tinting his face clued Kirishima in to something else. He’d seen Katsuki angry, he’d seen him disgusted and proud, and none of those expressions seemed to cover his current one. If Eijirou had to guess, he’d say maybe he was happy, maybe even a little touched.

   But that’s only if he had to guess. 

   The redhead watched Bakugou’s hands carefully, a smile tugging at the sides of his lips. He wasn’t fluent in sign language yet, but he was learning slowly, and he recognized the motion for ‘thank you’ and his name on the hero’s fingers. “Of course, man,” Kirishima grinned, beaming with pride. “Happy 17th.”
